"Congratulations, Charizard!"

Tyson could clearly feel the enhanced power emanating from Charizard after its evolution. The aura was stronger and more commanding than ever.

Charizard glanced at Tyson, its gaze filled with determination. Without hesitation, it extended a sharp claw, clasping it firmly in Tyson's hand. Then, in a gesture of affection and loyalty, Charizard lowered its proud head and nuzzled Tyson's cheek, as if to say that despite its new form, it remained the same Pokémon at heart.

"Evolution only makes you stronger," Tyson murmured, patting Charizard's neck. "It changes your appearance but never your heart. Trust me, Charizard—we'll soon surpass Tom's Charizard together."

Tyson knew how important this goal was to Charizard. Completing its final evolution brought it one step closer to fulfilling its ambitions. With the help of mission points and training, Tyson was confident Charizard would reach new heights.

"Alright," Tyson said with a smile. "Let's get you used to your new abilities."

He opened his Pokédex to review Charizard's updated stats:

Basic Moves: Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen, Dragon Breath, Fire Fang, Slash, Air Slash, Heat Wave, Dragon Claw

Egg Moves: Bite, Dragon Rush

The evolution had unlocked three new moves—Air Slash, Heat Wave, and Dragon Claw. Most excitingly, Charizard could now fully utilize Dragon Rush's power. Additionally, with Charizard's final evolution complete, Tyson's dream of flying was now within reach.

Though the world of Pokémon boasted advanced technology, transportation—especially in the skies—was fraught with danger. Flying and Water Pokémon dominated those domains, and humans often found themselves vulnerable to sudden attacks. For this reason, Tyson had never trusted air travel. But now, with Charizard as his partner, he could soar through the skies safely. Of course, Tyson didn't want to become the first trainer to fall while riding his Pokémon, so they would need training.

The newly evolved Charizard was already at the standard height of 1.7 meters, though Tyson knew it had plenty of room to grow. Reaching a towering 2 meters or more wouldn't be difficult with time and effort. Despite being tall for his age, Tyson—a mere 10-year-old—looked forward to flying with Charizard.

Training Begins

Tyson adjusted his plans, deciding to focus on familiarizing Charizard with its new powers. Venturing into the forest, he sought out wild Pokémon to serve as sparring partners.

Soon, their first target appeared: a Raticate.

"Let's test out Dragon Rush first, Charizard. Attack!" Tyson commanded.

With powerful wingbeats, Charizard soared into the air. Gathering energy, it became encased in a draconic aura, radiating intensity. Though it was Charizard's first attempt at Dragon Rush, it executed the move with impressive vigor.

Raticate froze under the pressure, unable to evade. Desperately, it attempted to counter with a Quick Attack, but the force of Dragon Rush was overwhelming. Raticate was sent flying and tumbled across the forest floor.

"Follow up with Flamethrower!" Tyson shouted.

Charizard unleashed a blazing torrent of flames, engulfing the downed Raticate.

"Now try Heat Wave!"

Charizard flapped its wings, summoning scorching heat that swept through the area. The rising temperature made Raticate visibly uncomfortable as it writhed to douse the lingering flames. Unable to retaliate effectively, it succumbed to the relentless assault.

Tyson nodded approvingly. "Great work, Charizard. Let's test Air Slash next!"

From a safe height, Charizard slashed at the air with its wings, sending razor-sharp currents at Raticate. The wild Pokémon, unable to dodge, became a perfect target. Tyson noticed the frustration in Raticate's eyes as it finally collapsed.

A New Milestone

Days of training passed, with Charizard growing stronger and mastering its newly learned moves. Tyson's excitement reached its peak when the day finally arrived to take to the skies.

"Ready, Charizard?" he asked, climbing onto its back. His Eevee and Mankey cheered him on from below.

Charizard took off smoothly, its powerful wings carrying them into the air. Tyson grinned as he felt the wind rushing past and saw the earth below shrink away. Soaring through the clouds, he finally understood humanity's longing to conquer the skies.

"Let's go, Charizard!" Tyson called out, his heart brimming with pride and exhilaration.
