Business

Chapter 20

"You okay, Tyler?" Tom asked at the dinner table. I snapped out of my thoughts at his question and said with a smile, "Yeah, just a little…"

"Thinking?" He completed my sentence. I guess that excuse was getting old.

"And what's up with you?" Mira asked Sasha who was eating strangely.

"My jaw hurts," She replied which was more directed towards me. I got a little too excited after my fourth round with her that I dumped the last of my load from the restoration skill in her mouth.

She didn't say anything then but the way she was acting right now, it was clear she was teasing me and enjoying every second of it.

Well, the reason I got so excited after my excitement was the set of notifications I received once I finished the fourth of my load inside her mouth.

[Please choose]

[Strength]

[Charm]

It said one of her but there was an option for only two of them. Well, she was a woman so I was tempted to choose the charm stat but strength stat was equally important so I chose that one since one never knew when she needed to defend herself.

I learned that lesson well from Betty's case.

Anyway, feeding her my cum after that brought the same message of insufficient consumption so there was no change there.

After that, I left the room first and she came out after a while, getting an earful from Aunt Elise for being late to the dinner.

"What do you think about the Dawson's case?" Tom asked. He was mostly asking me since I was the one who handled that.

"I think it was handled better than anyone expected," I replied. As it turned out, Betty's grandfather was easily able to get all the businesses back and Kara learned her lesson about big dicks. The abuse fact was also revealed which was a little too late because the guy who did it was practically dead.

So, in a nutshell, I'd say the matter was dealt with perfectly, with all parties happier than ever. Well, Betty might find it a little difficult but she was a strong girl and I was sure there wouldn't be anything like a trauma.

Besides, if she were to move to LA, we'd have more time to spend together so I was sure everything would be okay.

"Well, I for one think it could have been handled better," Tom said. Well, of course, he'd think so. Remember the interesting detail I found. Well, my dear uncle here was working along with the gang, buying many of the shares under a new company's name.

That way, it wouldn't be traced back to him and he would be able to rule over a giant company as well. As expected of a businessman. He didn't even spare the company of close friends they built with their blood and sweat.

"Well, I think all is done for the better," Sara came to my defense. I was glad she was defending me against her own father. Also, I didn't want to needlessly debate on this matter. Tom, although couldn't get most of it, got enough to feed his greed and as for Kara and her family, they got enough to still be considered a giant and learned the lesson of a lifetime. It was a win-win for all and I'd rather not get into it.

"Anyways," Aunt Elise spoke, "What are you doing for tomorrow?"

"My lawyer's flying into town to discuss some business. I'm meeting him and it might take an entire day." I replied.

Tom looked at me and asked, "Is it that much?"

There was a glint of greed in his eyes which I did well to ignore. He couldn't touch me even if he tried so no matter what he did, I'd simply treat it as a child's mischief and ignore it.

"Since I won't be there for an entire summer, I want to settle some future issues as well," I replied.

"Being a businessman must be tiresome," Sasha said with a surprised expression on her face before she added, "I can't believe you're the same age as my sisters. They can't even understand basic things about business."

"Well, responsibility teaches you many things," I replied. It wasn't like my mom or grandmother wanted me to take over these businesses. They simply named me their owner while still volunteering to run them but I insisted on doing it by myself. It was rough at the beginning but now, three years into it, I was pretty much an expert.

"Are you saying I'm irresponsible?" Sara asked with a corked eyebrow.

"Yes," I was ruthless.

Before she could even be shocked, Sasha asked, "Can I come with?" It was obvious what her intentions were so, "Sorry, but I don't know how long it would take so…"

"You have tennis tomorrow, remember? The coach was complaining you were out of it during the last session too." Aunt Elise said which placated Sasha a bit. Sorry, but no matter how much I wanted to do it with her, some things were just out of my control.

Some of the discussed businesses would be a bit on the… darker side. So I couldn't take her with me and risk anything leaking. She was my cousin and some more now, and I trusted her and all that, but even I couldn't bring her into that part of the business. I couldn't bring anyone.

"Fine," She was a good kid so she wasn't so stubborn about this.

"So, you think I'm irresponsible, huh?" We're still doing that?

~~

"Well, all is done, and here is the report for all of the… side businesses." My lawyer told me as he handed me some papers. As I checked them, my gaze hardened a little.

"The biker gangs sure are coming into our territory. Didn't you tell them that selling their product on our turf was not allowed?" I asked him.

He nodded and handed me another paper about it.

As I read it, my expression turned weird this time. "Italians? This far south?"

Italians were more prominent in New York, not LA. LA was more known for its African American and Spanish gangs.

"They've sent someone down to scope out the area. They're not actively involved, but they've provided the biker gangs with a lot of chemicals to produce their products in bulk. Also, they're helping them in selling them as well." My lawyer reported.

"Wouldn't the biker gang be at a loss then?" I asked.

He handed me another paper that answered that question and all questions related to it as well. They were making so much money that even if the biker gang was getting the short stick of the end, they were still making at least four times more than before.

"What should we do about them?" My lawyer asked.

"What else? Leave them be." I replied.

"What? But…" He tried to argue when I raised my hand to stop him.

"Just leave them be. I'll deal with them when I come back." I replied.

"But they'll be able to increase their operations greatly by then," The lawyer argued.

"LA heatwave will start soon. The authorities would be out on the streets more than usual. They wouldn't be able to increase the scale of their operations that quickly then." I replied.

"But after the whole summer, they would be a force to reckon with. All the more if they call for reinforcements." Well, it was given he didn't trust me. I was, in the end, a child. But…

"I will be a greater force by then," I replied before I stood up and said, "Leave them be. In fact, let them into our territory. Ask the locals to entertain them. Welcome them, actually. Report to me every week about this. I'll deal with the rest."

He still didn't seem to have faith in me but, in the end, I was the boss. What I say goes.

With that in mind, everything related to the business was taken care of. What was left was to prepare for the future but I didn't trust this guy for that. After all, he was my lawyer for the shady stuff. Even if he were to break the attorney-client privilege, I wouldn't be able to take him to court for that. He knew too much.

So it would be better to let him know only controlled information and deal with the rest myself.

"See you next week," With that, I exited the café. It was still around four in the afternoon so I decided to check around the city before returning. Sara was kind enough to lend me her car but since I'd be staying here for a long time, it was better to purchase my own. With that in mind, my first stop was decided.
