"A worthless rock?"
Hearing Velen's words, Jake, one of the five senators, immediately felt his eyes redden.
The Starry Stone was the core left behind by the collapse of an aging star, an indestructible material that served as an unparalleled auxiliary resource for forging weapons!
As a veteran blacksmith, Jake had rarely even seen such a forging material in his life! And none of the ones he had seen could compare to the dazzling brilliance of Velen's Starry Stone.
This one might have even reached the legendary Tier-9 level!
"Velen, are you willing to sell this Starry Stone? Just name your price, and I'll do everything in my power to meet your demand!" Jake asked earnestly, his calloused hands rubbing nervously with anticipation.
Velen shook his head outright. "I don't have many Starry Stones at the moment. I plan to use this one to make a toilet, so I can't sell it to you."
"Make a toilet?"
Hearing this, Jake's pupils contracted violently!
This was beyond human comprehension!
Too extravagant!
In his view, this move surpassed all of Velen's previous displays of wealth.
"Velen, the Starry Stone is immensely important for forging. With it, weapons that could shake the entire galaxy can be made!" Jake couldn't help but try to persuade him.
Velen thought for a moment before replying, "My dear lord, all that fighting and killing is so boring. A toilet made of Starry Stone, though—brilliantly radiant and self-heating—would ensure a warm seat during winter visits to the bathroom. It would be extremely comfortable!"
Jake: …
Anthony and the others were all petrified on the spot.
Just to keep warm in the winter while using the toilet, you'd use a Starry Stone to make a toilet? What kind of thought process was that?
Indeed, the mind of a tycoon was simply incomprehensible to ordinary people.
After a brief moment of speechlessness, Jake's eyes suddenly lit up. "Velen, I support your wish to make a Starry Stone toilet. But if you ever have any extra Starry Stones, could you sell them to me?"
Velen seriously considered this and nodded. "I'll definitely have plenty in the future. Once I've made the toilet, I'll set aside any extras for you."
Hearing this, Jake's face instantly lit up with excitement. "Alright, it's good for young people to have dreams. I wholeheartedly support you! When the Starry Stone toilet is completed, could I at least have a look? That would satisfy me!"
Velen was momentarily stunned. He hadn't expected Jake to become so fixated on the Starry Stone.
Meanwhile, Anthony and the others stared at Jake, utterly dumbfounded. Something felt off about this situation!
William and the others immediately sent a telepathic message to Jake: "Jake, have you lost your mind from all this? That's a Starry Stone we're talking about!"
Jake chuckled and telepathically replied, "You're all blinded by concern. Do you even know the greatest use of a Starry Stone?"
William frowned slightly. "Isn't it for forging equipment?"
Jake shook his head, his expression profound. "Not at all. The true purpose of a Starry Stone is to weaken the Judgment of Rules. When we ascend beyond the Ascended Rank, sitting on—or beneath—a Starry Stone toilet can help us safely survive the ordeal! Now, tell me, isn't that comfortable?"
The Judgment of Rules referred to the trial imposed by the rules of the universe when an awakener advanced to the Ascended Rank and beyond. Only by passing this judgment could one continue to ascend.
Although the idea of using a toilet during such a critical moment sounded odd, the thought of overcoming the life-threatening Judgment of Rules in such a manner filled them with exhilaration.
Anthony and the others quickly connected the dots, their faces lighting up with excitement.
"If the Starry Stone really can weaken the Judgment of Rules, we could definitely make use of it!"
"Sitting on a toilet to break through—we'd be the first in history!"
"Beyond that, if we equip all Ducal Manor members advancing to the Ascended Rank with this method, wouldn't we double the number of top-tier powerhouses?"
Thinking along these lines, their faces filled with eager anticipation.
Previously, they believed the only indirect aid for surviving the Judgment of Rules was the Afterlife Flower, which only offered soul protection and couldn't guarantee success.
If a Starry Stone toilet could achieve this, they wouldn't even need the Afterlife Flower anymore!
As Velen watched them laughing and chatting amongst themselves, he grew curious.
Could it be that they also thought his idea of a Starry Stone toilet was brilliant?
Shortly thereafter, William and the others held a brief discussion, their expressions growing solemn as they concluded:
"Anthony, if Velen goes to the Singularity Battlefield, we must ensure his safety. Gather all apprentice-level members of the Ducal Manor immediately. Should Velen encounter any danger, spare no effort to protect him!"
Though they had no objection to Velen training to improve himself, as a top-tier tycoon, his safety had to be guaranteed.
Anthony was about to nod when Velen stepped forward and said:
"Senators, if I'm accompanied by so many people, how would I train in the Singularity Battlefield? You know my strength. There's no need to make a big deal out of this. Too much attention could even backfire."
Anthony glanced at William and the others.
William and the others finally realized their excessive concern. Velen had, after all, defeated over 200 of the family's younger members.
Their worry had clouded their judgment.
Moreover, Velen was right—the Singularity Battlefield was unlike any other place. Traveling in large groups only made them easier targets for spellbeasts or ill-intentioned individuals.
"As long as you're confident, that's fine. Just remember, the Singularity Battlefield is a hunting ground. Be cautious at all times!" William warned.
Velen nodded.
Anthony added, "Rest well and make your preparations. In a couple of days, we'll head to the Singularity Battlefield's teleportation base."
When Velen returned to his room, Hael and the others were already there.
Surprised, Velen was about to speak when they eagerly crowded around him.
"Velen, um… do you still have any more SSS Tomes of Skill Experience?"
Though it felt a bit thick-skinned to ask directly, the benefits of the SSS Tome of Skill Experience were undeniable.
One tome had saved them years—perhaps even decades—of painstaking training! Most of their skills' proficiencies had grown immensely, nearly doubling their combat strength.
With such an opportunity before them, they naturally wanted to seize it.
Velen glanced at their eager faces and said calmly, "I just gave the Ducal Manor sixty tomes. I only have thirty left."
Hearing that he still had some left, Hael and the others immediately asked:
"Velen, could you give us just one more?"
One of the female geniuses even resorted to using a cutesy voice.
Velen felt goosebumps rising and quickly replied, "No way. These thirty tomes are reserved for my rabbit. Not even the Duke has gotten one."
Learning that the thirty remaining SSS Tomes of Skill Experience were for the rabbit, Hael and the others were incredulous. This was too extravagant!
Why couldn't they be the rabbit instead?!
But this thought passed quickly, and they soon regained their composure.
Hael apologized, "Velen, we've been too greedy. Receiving even one SSS Tome of Skill Experience from you is already the greatest honor."
The others nodded in agreement.
However, Hael glanced at the others with an excited look and said:
"Velen gave the Duke sixty SSS Tomes of Skill Experience. As the top talents of Ducal Manor, isn't it fair for us to use one or two?"
Hearing this, the others' eyes lit up, and they immediately dashed toward Anthony's hall.
Watching their enthusiastic departure, Velen shrugged in confusion.
"Is this the pain of being a tycoon? They can't sleep for days from the excitement of getting one SSS Tome of Skill Experience, but I don't feel a thing?"
"Ah, the life of a tycoon is so plain and dull!"
After sighing, Velen thought of something and asked the system:
"Why didn't I earn any luxury points from giving the five senators their gifts?"
"Because the five senators plan to return the gifts to the host."
Seeing the system's response, Velen was speechless.
"They're even refusing free money?"
At that moment, William appeared beside Velen with a big smile.
"Velen, I hope I'm not disturbing you by visiting unannounced?"
Velen quickly smiled and replied, "Senator, you're always welcome. It's no disturbance at all!"
"Also, I have plenty of mana stones. Please don't be polite with me!"
