The grand hall fell into complete silence.

The faces of the nobles attending the banquet turned pale and grim. They had expected tonight to be a celebration of new alliances, a display of power, and a negotiation over the division of wealth and influence. But this... this was something entirely different.

The young man standing before them had just proposed something unthinkable—something that threatened to uproot their very foundations. He wanted to elevate Zaun, that lowly, wretched city, to stand as an equal to Piltover. It was heresy, a complete reversal of the natural order.

Zaun was supposed to kneel before Piltover, to serve as its dumping ground and sewer. It was never meant to stand shoulder to shoulder with the City of Progress. And yet, here he was, daring to suggest such a thing.

But as the nobles glanced at the mechanical dragon hovering behind Link Star, they swallowed their protests. They remembered the sheer power he had displayed earlier. Any word of defiance, any hint of resistance, could mean their end. The dragon would not hesitate to strike.

Link Star was young, and youth meant impulsiveness. He wouldn't think like them, wouldn't weigh the consequences as they would. If they agreed, they would lose much. If they refused, they might not leave the Bluewind Manor alive.

So, what choice did they have?

Link Star waited patiently, his gaze calm but unyielding.

"I," Janna stepped forward, her voice clear and resolute, "as the current head of House Ferros, hereby declare my full support for Link Star Ferros and all his decisions. We stand with him, unwavering, until the end."

Link Star gave her a slight nod of acknowledgment.

"I, Ambessa Medarda, also support Link Star's proposal," the imposing woman declared, stepping forward and pounding her chest in a gesture of loyalty.

The nobles glared at her, their minds screaming in frustration. What business did a Noxian have meddling in Piltover's affairs? But they dared not voice their thoughts.

Mel Medarda sighed, glancing at her mother before stepping forward as well. "I, Mel Medarda, support Link Star's proposal."

"House Kiramman supports the proposal," Caitlyn announced, her voice steady and clear. The others turned to her in surprise, but she ignored their stares. Link's words had struck a chord with her, though now was not the time to dwell on it. Safety first.

"House Talis supports the proposal," Jayce declared, stepping forward. Viktor followed suit, his voice firm. "Viktor of Zaun supports Link Star's proposal."

"Cecil B. Heimerdinger supports the proposal," the yordle announced, his voice carrying a rare seriousness.

"Ekko of Zaun supports the proposal!"

"Zeri of Zaun supports the proposal!"

"Sevika of Zaun supports the proposal!"

"House Abino supports the proposal!"

"House Karamanda supports the proposal!"

One by one, the families and representatives voiced their agreement. The remaining nobles, those who had profited from Zaun's suffering, grew increasingly uneasy. They couldn't accept this. To agree would mean giving up their lucrative, if morally bankrupt, enterprises in Zaun.

"House Kiramman has objections!" a middle-aged man shouted, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife.

Link Star turned to him, his expression calm. "You have objections?"

"Yes, I—" The man didn't get to finish. The mechanical dragon, Pride, unleashed a beam of energy, vaporizing the man's upper body instantly. His lower half remained standing for a moment before collapsing, blood pooling beneath it.

"It seems the objections have been silenced," Link Star said coolly, his tone devoid of emotion. "Let us continue."

The remaining nobles trembled, their fear palpable. They had no choice but to comply. One by one, they voiced their agreement, their voices shaking with fear and resentment.

Link Star smiled, satisfied. "Thank you all for your support. Tonight will be remembered as the night the Twin Cities began their journey toward greatness."

Servants quickly cleaned the mess, and the banquet resumed as if nothing had happened. Link Star raised a glass, his voice ringing out. "Let us toast to the Twin Cities and to the future!"

Reluctantly, the guests raised their glasses. "To the Twin Cities and to the future!"

The Zaunites, however, were ecstatic. Sevika, Zeri, and even Ekko, who had been skeptical of Link Star, were now filled with hope. They shouted with unrestrained joy, their voices echoing through the hall.

"To Zaun! To the Twin Cities! To our future!"

After the banquet, most guests left, but a select few remained. Link Star stood in the now-empty hall, turning to Janna. "Which family was it that objected again?"

Janna rolled her eyes. "You killed their leader and don't even remember their name? How heartless."

"Anyone who stands in my way will be removed," Link Star said coldly. "Deal with the rest of the family. Leave no one alive. If you need help, call upon Janna. She'll provide assistance."

"Yes, yes, my lord," Janna replied with a sigh. "You're supposed to be my assistant, not the other way around."

"For family, I will give everything," Link Star said, a smirk playing on his lips.

"For family, I will give everything," Janna echoed, shaking her head. "I'll handle the Kiramman family. You take care of the rest."

Link Star nodded, then turned to the group he had asked to stay. Among them were Caitlyn, Jayce, Mel, Ambessa, Heimerdinger, Viktor, Ekko, Zeri, and Sevika.

"I've asked you to stay because we've worked together before," Link Star began. "And because I believe you can help me in my mission to make the Twin Cities great again."

Ambessa stepped forward, her voice steady. "House Medarda will always be your loyal ally."

"I never doubted your loyalty," Link Star replied. "We will strengthen our partnership for mutual benefit."

Caitlyn watched Link Star, her eyes filled with admiration. She had recognized him as the journalist who had once interviewed her, but she never imagined he would become such a powerful figure.

"Caitlyn," Link Star said, turning to her. "I'd like you and your partner to meet with me later. There's something important we need to discuss."

Caitlyn nodded. "Understood."

"As for the new council," Link Star continued, "I want each of you to submit a list of candidates. Age and experience don't matter. What matters is their dedication to the Twin Cities."

Viktor bowed his head. "We'll begin discussions immediately."

"Viktor," Link Star said, "I want you on the council. Your rationality and unique perspective as a man of both flesh and machine will be invaluable."

"Understood," Viktor replied.

"Zeri," Link Star turned to the young Zaunite, "your grandmother, as a lifelong resident of Zaun, could represent the people's voice on the council."

"My grandmother?" Zeri asked, wide-eyed.

"Yes," Link Star said. "The council will no longer be dominated by wealth and power. It will be made up of those who truly care for the people of Zaun and Piltover."

"Mel," Link Star continued, "you'll oversee the selection of Piltover's council members. Consider all aspects—economics, politics, and the welfare of the people."

He took a deep breath, his gaze sweeping over the group. "All of this is for one purpose: to make the Twin Cities great again!"

The night was far from over, but the wheels of change had already begun to turn. The Twin Cities would never be the same.
