CHAPTER 30

"You good" Henry whispered over to Macy in tha astute hall.

Macy nodded absentmindedly. She had a fucking headache and couldn't stop replaying the events of the previous night. The way she asked him to stay. The way she kissed him. She cringed.

"Macy. What did you do?" She cried under her breath.

"Everything alright Sorren!" Edna called out. "You seem distressed!"

Macy shook her head. "No. Everything is fine"

She wanted to crawl up in a whole or just die. If only the fate of everyone didn't depend on her survival she would have killed herself. The images were fresh. But it seemed the kiss somehow speeded up her healing. Cause now she was all good. Not even a scar was left. She thanked the gods that Chase wasn't in class cause she wasn't sure if she could face him.

"You're back!" Danny screamed as Judy approached them in the library.

"Damn!" Luke said raking over her body. "You look good!"

Henry nodded in agreement. Judy chuckled.

"Hey guys"

The awakening of her wolf had altered her appearance. It made her more charming gorgeous and sexy. She had that bad ass aura and her ginger hair had a white streak on it.

Macy shook her thoughts away and went to greet Judy.

Judy took her sit at their table and the guys began filing her in. From what happened to Sia and their thoughts.

"I was gone for only a couple of days and all this happened!" Judy said with a chuckle. "Damn!"

They all laughed. "I guess your wolf awakened" Henry stated. "And by the colour change on your hair. It's a white one..."

Judy nodded. "Turns out my X-ray vision was due to my wolf's awakening"

Macy was barely listening as she rubbed her temples due to the hangover she had.

"Are you alright?" Luke asked her. "You should be since your wound healed"

Macy nodded. "I'm fine, just a headache!"

Danny pated her shoulder. "Come with me maybe I can get you some painkillers"

Macy sighed and nodded following her. Judy tagged along as the guys were left behind.

"So I've been planning to surprise her on the upcoming break!" Harry said to Tiffany and the other captains.

"I don't know man ..."Ryan captain of the astute said rubbing the back of his n. "Do you think she'd love it?"

"Of course !" Jenny said sitting up on her chair. "I for sure know all girls appreciate a sweet act from their lovers!"

Tiff nodded in agreement.

Just then Harley walked in and stood at the door overlooking them on the round conference like table. "So I believe you have what I asked for?"

They all nodded pulling out pieces of paper that had a list of names. "These are the people. Strongest in each category!" Tiffany said.

Harley nodded gathering the list. "Thank you for your cooperation. Stand by for instructions."

They stood up giving a small nod before excusing themselves.

"Harry..." Harley called out before he left.

"Yes sir?"

"Can I ask for a favor from you!"

Harry nodded. Harley sighed stepping foward right in his face. "I need to keep an eye on your brother!"

Harry was stunned. Why him surely Chase would suspect it. "Sir...."

"Think about it. Between all of us here. You know what Chase is capable of. You're one of the students that knows the darkness in him...."

Harry sighed. He knew Chase was a menace but spying on him was another thing. He was still family and doing this would crush their mother. It will be going against Vampires. Against blood.

"I won't force you. Just think about it!"

Harry watched as Harley left his words ringing in his ears.

"So spill it...." Judy said to Macy as she took the pills. "Clearly there's something you're hiding"

Macy simply drunk her water not speaking.

"Spill Macy!" Danny said her arms crossed over her chest.

Macy sighed and rushed to lock the door to the infamary. A small space with various drugs. She took a sit at one of the five chairs placed there. She took a deep breath not looking at her friends.

"I....I..." She stammered. "I kissed Chase" It almost came out as a whisper.

Judy and Danny looked at each other stunned. "You what?!" Danny asked moving to take a sit next to her.

"I was drunk and not thinking...." Macy tried explaining.

"Drunk?" Judy took another sit on her left.

"I broke into the storage after Harry left. Again!" Macy said playing with her fingers.

Danny laughed and Judy joined in as Macy rolled her eyes at them.

"Don't blame the alcohol..." Judy said trying to catch her breath." Alcohol is a stimulator to do what you always wanted..."

Macy shrugged. "No way!" She didn't want to kiss Chase. She never thought about it. Maybe. But no . No way.

"I have to ask..." Danny said clutching her stomach from laughing so hard. "Was it good?"

Macy stood up and rolled her eyes as she left the friends cackling. They continued laughing at her outburst before following her quickly.

"Hey wait up...." Danny yelled down the hallway. "Okay we're sorry!"

Macy pouted stopping. "I'm screwed!"

Judy placed a hand on her shoulder. "Does Harry know?"

Macy shook her head. "I haven't spoken to him since last night...."

Danny sighed. "You should probably tell him. He'll understand and will be better since it didn't mean anything, right..."

Macy nodded. Of course it didn't mean anything. She would surely explain it to Harry. He'll surely understand. Right?

Macy sighed. "How will I face Chase now?" She cried.

Danny rubbed her back. "Has he reached out."

Macy shook her head. Chase hadn't tried to speak to her since morning and he hoped the guy just disappeared from the face of the earth cause she couldn't handle the shame of facing him.

"Maybe it meant nothing. He gets that you were just drunk and understands that your dating his brother". Judy tried easing Macy's worries.

Macy sighed remembering how he kissed her and held her close. How he groaned and his fingers dug into her hips. His words after the kiss.

Macy covered her face with her palms. "I'm such an idiot!"

Judy and Danny could only rub her back offering comforting and reassuring words.
