Change

Arthur looked at his daughter that was now frightened. Not many things could horrify a god after all. He calmly looked at her and back at Celine. "It's nothing to worry about, she will be fine later."

He wasn't exactly wrong. Cronos was only strong if he was gained control and Celine would soon realize that it would be better to forget everything and not worry about the power Cronos holds. Cronos was something beyond what these two weaker gods could deal with anyways.

Aria glanced at the scene once more. She was innately a good person who would soon become the queen of this kingdom so Aria wanted to help this crazy lady who had helped her so much but stopped herself.

"She could mistake this as feelings and try harder to court me," she thought. Aria wanted to avoid the complication of a lover because her status was simply too high. After all, if she picked the wrong lover her kingdom would be at risk. She was more content on being a lone queen that survived the trials rather than risk a potential traitor. Plus she also enjoyed being alone.

With the thoughts of her kingdom's future in her head, she chose to ignore Celine and wanted to slowly push her away. Aria left the scene without hesitation after that moment.

Arthur worriedly looked at Celine. "Take this time to try to discover your desire and fuel your divinity with it. Try and reflect on the mission I gave you and figure out what makes you want to live this life." He patted her on the shoulder's and left to the throne room to attend duties.

In a room alone, Celine meditated in peace for a long time. "Let's start with what I definetly don't desire or what feelings cannot fuel my divine power," Celine thought and her mind drifted to how effortlessly she killed the nobles. She remembered how she felt absolutely nothing towards their deaths and wasnt even pursuing justice like Aria. Those people just happened to be in her way and they died because of it.

"I definetly don't have any feelings of justice or honor that will fuel my divine power," she concluded. The only thought she had of those nobles were that they were weak. Yes, her past life was focused on the path of strength because only the strong could live happily, so she took those feelings into this life as well.

That line of thought made her come to another conclusion. "In this life, I don't desire strength, but I wish to use the strength I have acquired," she felt like she had enlightened herself. "That's right! If only the strong can live peacefully and I have finally become strong, then my desire is using my strength for my peace."

"But using that as fuel for my divinity wouldn't be great because it is too abstract," she mumbled. A gods desire had to be concrete for it to be powerful. It couldn't be some weird concept like "using strength" because it would make the desire weak. Arthur had a solid concept of "protection" that fueled his divinity so Celine wanted to choose something similar to that as well.

Celine eventually had a headache so her eyes opened blankly. Nevertheless, she still wanted to train and find create her fuel so she stared at the wall endlessly as her mind rambled with thoughts.

Eventually, Celine came to a conclusion. "What is my strength? Of course I was a genius and I also used telekinesis as my strength but what really seperated me from other geniuses?" She questioned and felt like she was reaching a breakthrough. Her mind quickly rambled theoughout her past feats. What made her different?

Celine was persistent and determined but other geniuses were like her as well. No, what really made her different and what ensured her survival was her ability to adapt alone.

Celine wasn't unfamiliar with being alone. In fact, she spent almost all of her life alone while being stranded in human territory as an enemy. And that loneliness became a part of her strength as well as her ability to adapt to unforeseen situations. Other geniuses were strong because they were fearless or they were manipulative, but Celine didn't have anything so she relied on herself to adapt. That was her strength.

All of these thoughts about her strength and desires reached an apex. Her mind became clear as she began to finally reach a conclusion as to what she desired and would use as fuel for her divinity.

"All I've ever done was change or adapt," she muttered. "This whole second life and new desire is a result of my change. I reached the peak of my desire to obtain strength and now I want to change that desire. I'm literally adapting to how I feel at this very moment. That is a desire."

"The fuel I will use for my divinity will be my desire to change or adapt in order to get what I want."

This desire was mere a fancy view of what Celine had concluded earlier. "My desire is using strength to obtain my peace," she thought earlier. However, in order to solidify her desire, Celine changed it into something less abstract by discovering what her "strength" was.

In the end, Celine desired to change to pursue her goals. The second life was the result of her desire to change and pursue her goals. The developing feelings towards Aria was a result of her desire to change.

Change was Celine's strength and it was what Celine desired. Now, she would use it as fuel for divinity and turn that feeling into raw power only gods could access.
