Both Celine and Aria had a sudden realization when they heard Ken's mother was actually here. They realized that Ken's father hadn't fell in love with a mortal, but another god instead. The idea didn't cross their minds as Arthur and Alina was the only godly couple they knew and they weren't both gods.
"I was wondering why a god showed up here on a personal agenda," the woman said calmly. "But who would've known that a friend of my son from another lifetime has appeared."
The flamboyant woman gently clapped her hands. "Now, let's have a discussion and then we can figure out why you truly came here. Just us gods now." Both Aria and Ken were whizzed away by a magic force until just Celine and the new woman was in the room.
Feeling the need to have a strong introduction, Celine started. "I'm Celine Lithold, a secret god hidden in the Valerian Kingdom in order to protect Aria," was what she limited to saying about herself.
"I'm Ellen but you seem to already know something's about me," she gently shook Celine's hand. "Nice to meet you"
"If I may, why is Ken so different this time?" Celine started to ask.
Ellen's eyebrows curved. "The butterfly effect is stronger than you think. The smallest change in how we were exiled can change his whole outlook on the situation. Last time, he had a deep rooted hatred for his father because we were rudely sent out but he has a more mellow outlook in this life. This causes the weird calmness you feel from him."
Celine nodded. She hadn't considered any of that at all but she needed to start to think of the Butterfly Effect more. It was something that could kill her if she was too hasty with her knowledge of the future because it may not go as she predicted.
"I seem to inquire that you're the Seventy-Third God?" Ellen asked. "You're way too naive to be any older, but don't be afraid because I was like that. I'm only the Sixty-Fifth God so I am still learning."
Celine didn't say anything and was ascerning Ellen's power. She thought that if they fought, Celine would at least have the chance to escape unlike Cronos's manipulation or Arthur's complete dominance with both of their eternal Divine Kingdoms.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Celine asked.
"Well, I would've like to talk about my son first, but how about I share a few ideas that us gods have. I think that'll be fun," Ellen stated.
"Ideas?"
"Yes, the major question God's have is: what is our purpose? We believe it has something to do with the tower or beyond that because we still don't fully understand that object even with our divinity."
Celine submerged herself in thought. "This is probably something I can't begin to comprehend yet. I've just stepped into the realm of gods and this is about discovering the origins of divine power."
Ellen looked at the thought process and saw Celine's confusion. "It is stated that Cronos has once said that he knew the secret. The real reasons why gods have been born and why we exist. However, nobody will ever believe that man."
That left Celine wondering. "Just how strong are people at Cronos's level? Why has the entire world feared him so much?"
"Oh, you're in for a story," Ellen sounded excited. "Well, let me tell you of the 19th lifetime. We call it, The Lifetime of No Return."
"In this lifetime, the tower has just dawned upon the world but something was entirely different. You see, Cronos had existed for a while at this point and now he was beginning to question like us. He couldn't find the reasoning behind his purpose so he came to a conclusion. He decided to pass the 10th trial again.
He spent countless years planning and other lifetimes before he launched his attack on the True Demon God, his most feared enemy. The moment the 1st trial of the 19th lifetime started, thousands of human nukes and dozens of dragons blazed demonic territory. Cronos had controlled all of the normal mortal prospects of the lands and was erradicating his most feared enemy.
However, the gods of that time soon rallied against him because they didn't like how nonchalantly he was using their forces. An elite team of twelve of the strongest gods like the True Demon God, Collou, the Strongest Dragon God, Hubris, and the Unyielding Valerian God, Arthur all rallied against him but they couldn't expect what would happen next."
"Nobody truly knows what happened in that battle, not even the twelve allies. All that is known is that all of those gods present died and would only come back in the 20th lifetime, but those were the lucky ones. The 11th and 17th gods had true deaths that day. They have yet to come back to life even until this moment. This however, was only the beginning of Cronos's plan.
The 10 trials often included other lives to pass, so Cronos simply wanted to destroy or controll all life. His goal? He was going to become a god again."
"Cronos had complete control of the Demon Continent, most Dragon territories, All of humanity, and most Valerian Kingdoms. But that wasn't enough. He wanted to control everything, to be the only one alive with a consciousness, so he caused the point of no return.
He self destructed everything and somehow killed two more gods even stronger than the last. The 3rd God and the 9th God were truly dead at this point and the entire world was slowly becoming devoid of life. Cronos simply sat as he watched millions fight at his command and human nukes explode erode the land.
In the end, he succeeded and everything was dead or in his control. He became the 19th God, bypassing True God's Tower's restriction, but he hadn't anticipated that nothing would happen. The world reset and the 19th lifetime was left behind, but Cronos didn't receive enlightenment or become stronger. Instead, he sat puzzled at the purpose of God."
Ellen concluded her story. "That is why he is feared. Cronos caused the destruction of a whole lifetime and the true death of four gods. He is likely even stronger now because of how long he has lived."
