Great Leader

Across the field of battle where bodies and explosions ran rampant, a group of Valerian soldiers were inspecting the remains.

"The first battle ended with humanity's defeat, they retreated to their bases." One soldier of the group of 100 remarked.

"It's quite pathetic of them," the leader remarked. "They brought the fight to us and still lost. Now, they think we are both recuperating but Valeria doesn't standstill," the man mumbled.

The leader stepped up a hill. "Soldiers!" He shouted. "Humanity is weak, this battle is the proof! Our Princess has devised a plan to take advantage of these barbarians and destroy them!"

Everybody looked at the leader intensely. "The plan is simple. We are a stealth team. We invade, wait until our Princess strikes, then we attack."

"Do not leave a single human soul alive."

Little did that team know, they had a force to be reckoned with inside that small group.

Ken slightly pulled down on his hood as he couldn't hide his excitement.

In the quiet night of in the human zone where they had retreated to, dozens of soldiers were still awake. Some fixed weapons, some couldn't sleep, and some were 'enjoying' what they believed could be their last night. Humanity was scheduled to attack in one day.

Tension was at an all time high for them as their Great Leader had left to talk their God and hadn't returned yet. Traitors were becoming more possible by the second and people deserted their positions already.

A rumbling thunder resounded in the distance.

All of the humans hadn't paid much attention to the rumble. They went about their night, until he thunder reached an unbearable amount of sound.

The storm sounded like Zeus himself had descended and began rampaging. Trees were uprooted and an intense windstorm grabbed everything. In the midst of this chaos, a beauty with somewhat black hair tinted in dangerous blue looked at them.

"Attack!" A human soldier screamed and rang the alarms but it was too late. Aria had put her hand forward and the entirety of the raging storm hit them at full force. A master wind mage supported her and tornadoes began to slowly form.

This was a spell Aria had made that could only be utilized when a wind mage was nearby. The spell was a simple but effective combination of thunder and wind.

It was given a simple name due to Aria's personality.

"Storm"

Aria felt the connection between her affinity straining at the constant use of her magic. She knew that if this destructive spell continued she could lose her magic forever. Nevertheless, the damage was already done.

The southern side of humanity's base was completely destroyed in moments.

In the northern side, humans were scrambling. The attack had caused much distress and forces were rapidly heading south to assist. However, they couldn't have planned for an unexpected attack.

A sudden force of destruction hit the northern side. 100 Valerian soldiers and one master mage of death stopped any reinforcements from advancing to the south. Humanity shivered at the sight of their foes appearing before them.

The appearance of a Death Envoy, a magic master of death, sent panic across the whole army.

Death and destruction rained as a single master mage and 99 elites rampaged but Ken had a different plan.

He jumped away from his allies and into the center of the upcoming battle with a smile. "Let's see how strong I am," he grinned.

Ken landed on a soldier after his jump and completely obliterated him. The remains of the human soldier was sent across the battlefield as Ken ran to another and hit him with an explosive strike.

The armor of the soldier shattered and exploded as the force killed him in one hit and sent him flying.

Ken's demonic side was enjoying this. The widest smile of a figure covered in blood stared at all the soldiers around him.

"Who's next?"

*Boom! *Bang! A missile had directly stuck Ken. The ground was aflame and the smoke blurred his figure but Ken walked out unharmed.

"That one hurt my dragon pride," he sneered and began to stop holding back. One more missile and he could start to become exhausted.

Sonic booms let out as his frightening power dominated the battlefield. He was untouchable and unseeable. Military weapons were destroyed by a flick of his fingers and the deaths piled up endlessly as he grinned demonically.

That was until Ken hit something at full force and his fist stopped, unable to break the object. He whirred backwards immediately and looked at the object.

There, he saw a half-robotic man with intense magic power flowing throw him. His stature was twice the size of a normal human and wiring wrapped around him.

"Great Leader has returned!" A soldier shouted.

Confused, Ken went in for a second strike even stronger than the last one, but he was caught despite his unending speed. The speed that he had been so confident in and all of his dominance over the battlefield ceased in one moment.

The giant man-machine caught Ken by the arm and raised him before slamming him back to the ground, leaving a crator in the wake.

A vibrant source of green energy blasted out in response. Ken, who was now breathing heavily, used the time his vitality blast made to get some distance.

"If I didn't learn that technique, I'd be in deep shit," he mumbled, feeling weaker. "Using vitality isn't good though because my mastery is low. I've lost years worth of training in that single blast to escape."

"You're quite weak," the brawny man laughed and slowly ran towards Ken. Each step he took, the earth below him rumbled.

"But you're quite slow," Ken became untargetable. It was impossible to see him in the battlefield but a hit impacted the Great Leader in the back of his skull.

The Great Leader turned only to have his stomach take a shattering strike and for Ken's body to disappear from his sight again. "And you lack battle experience!" Ken cackled.
