Chapter 505: Release Snowy—A Goes Berserk

Chapter 505: Letting Snowy Take the Stage, A Goes Berserk

Takuya, with his eyes veiled by a white scarf, exuded an air of mystery. Coupled with the adorable Snowy in his arms, his appeal only grew stronger.

In the stands, the Fire Daimyō, seated next to Tsunade, remarked in amazement, "I hadn't expected Takuya-kun to become even more handsome over the years."

"..."

Who picked out such an extravagant outfit for this brat? Tsunade wondered, though she already had her suspicions. It must've been Kushina!

She hadn't noticed it earlier in the waiting room, but now, seeing Takuya in this flashy attire, she realized he was captivating the hearts of nearly every girl in the audience.

Being naturally handsome was one thing, but wearing such a bold outfit only made it worse.

"Tsunade, about Takuya-kun..." the Daimyō began, waving his fan suggestively. However, Tsunade cut him off mid-sentence.

"He already has girls he likes—more than one, in fact."

Tsunade wasn't as politically shrewd as the Third Hokage, but she wasn't naïve either. After the Daimyō's initial compliments, she immediately sensed his intentions.

She firmly denied him, leaving no room for negotiation.

If she gave even a hint of leniency, the Daimyō would undoubtedly bring this matter up with the Third Hokage.

"Oh, I see," the Daimyō replied with a forced smile, dropping the subject, though clearly displeased.

In another part of the stands, Dodai let out a sigh of relief.

"Dodai-sama, what's the matter?" a companion asked.

"Nothing, just relieved," Dodai replied dismissively.

Since A had entered the arena, Dodai had been worried that Takuya might provoke him with sharp words. They'd already experienced Takuya's knack for trash talk the previous day. If he rattled A's psyche, the latter's hot temper would undoubtedly explode, putting him at a disadvantage.

To Dodai's surprise, Takuya merely held Snowy in his arms, standing quietly and exuding the aura of a serene heartthrob. He made no move to taunt A, much to Dodai's relief.

His greatest fear had been an immediate exchange of insults, with Takuya unleashing his wit and A losing his composure in a fit of rage.

In the center of the arena, Sakumo Hatake, serving as the referee, entered the battlefield. He glanced at Takuya with a peculiar expression, then raised his hand and announced loudly:

"This battle will be conducted under my supervision. There are no restrictions on the use of weapons or ninjutsu."

Given Sakumo's strength and stature, he was more than qualified to act as the referee. Konoha had ensured there was no room for Hidden Cloud to object.

After glancing at Takuya, who remained silent, and A, who nodded slightly, Sakumo waved his hand and declared, "Since neither party has objections, the battle begins now."

With that, Sakumo moved to the edge of the arena and signaled the sealing squad to activate the barrier.

"You will pay the price for your arrogance, Takuya Yagami!"

A's expression darkened as he roared, and with a loud boom, the ground beneath him cracked. The Lightning Release Chakra Mode, passed down through generations of Raikage, exploded around him.

Blue lightning cloaked his body, sparks leaping outward as if he were encased in armor made of pure electricity. This was why it was often referred to as the "Lightning Armor."

Whatever makes you happy.

While A made a dramatic show of his power, Takuya merely bent down and gently placed Snowy on the ground. Then, he calmly retreated to the sidelines, crossing his arms as though he were merely an observer.

"???"

Clad in his Lightning Armor, A's strength, speed, and defense were all significantly heightened. In this state, he could unleash devastating attacks. But as he prepared to charge, he froze, question marks practically visible above his head.

He stared at the harmless-looking Snowy on the ground, then at Takuya, who had stepped back. His mind was in complete disarray.

What does this even mean?

"What's going on?"

"Is Takuya not planning to fight? What's with releasing a little pet?"

"You don't understand—that's Takuya-sama's summoning beast."

"Does this mean Takuya-sama thinks A isn't worth his effort? That A only deserves to fight his summoning beast?"

The audience buzzed with speculation, their imaginations running wild.

Even in the VIP section, the dignitaries were bewildered. Glances were exchanged, and eventually, all eyes fell on Tsunade.

Under the scrutiny of so many powerful figures, Tsunade's expression didn't falter. She calmly stated, "Summoning beasts are part of a ninja's strength."

We get that, but…

Why send in what looks like a harmless pet? Is this outright disdain for A?

Sakumo's lips twitched as he processed the scene.

"Dodai-sama..." Even the Hidden Cloud shinobi were at a loss.

Dodai clenched his fists, barely restraining himself from storming into the arena and giving Takuya a piece of his mind. Disrespectful!

If Takuya wanted to look down on A, there was no need to resort to such a humiliating method.

Among the audience unfamiliar with Snowy's capabilities, many began to worry about the tiny creature.

"That adorable little thing—it'll get crushed with one punch! Poor thing might cry for hours."

Back in the arena, A's gaze shifted from Snowy to Takuya, who stood on the sidelines. His dark complexion began to take on a purplish hue.

Before the battle, A had mentally prepared for insults and provocations. But this… this was a level of disrespect he hadn't anticipated.

Using a summoning beast wasn't the issue. Had Takuya released Snowy mid-battle, no one would have thought twice. But releasing the creature right at the start, then stepping back—it was as if Takuya were saying that fighting A himself wasn't worth the effort.

And in truth, it wasn't a misconception. Given Snowy's strength, she was more than enough to handle A.

With his eyes covered, Takuya's own abilities were somewhat diminished. However, the extent of this limitation was far less than others assumed. There were few opponents in the world who warranted Takuya's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and A wasn't one of them. If it were the Third Raikage, perhaps—but A had no such qualifications.

"BASTARD!!!"

Feeling deeply insulted, A's composure shattered. The anger he had kept in check boiled over.

BOOM!

Lightning chakra erupted from A in waves, shattering the ground beneath his feet. The force of his chakra carved a small crater into the arena floor.

Whoa, overreact much?

Takuya hadn't expected A to go full berserk mode right out of the gate. The man resembled a raging Super Saiyan, his body surrounded by crackling blue lightning. His not-so-long golden hair stood on end.

If he grew a tail, I'd almost believe he had Saiyan blood.

With a thunderous explosion, A launched himself forward, leaving deep footprints in the ground as his figure blurred out of sight.

"So fast!"
