Chapter 615: Cloud Village Requests Aid? Konoha Has More Important Matters

The Two-Tails locked eyes with the Third Raikage, filled with hatred.

But it wasn't stupid.

It knew it couldn't defeat him.

Even a fully charged Super Tailed Beast Bomb might not be enough to kill the Third Raikage—so why waste its attack on him?

Destroying the Cloud Village would be far more satisfying.

You locked me up. You sealed me away for years.

Time to collect some interest.

Without hesitation, the massive sphere of condensed chakra shot from the Two-Tails' mouth.

Its target: the Raikage's Office.

The most iconic structure in the entire Cloud Village.

If it was going to devastate something, it might as well be the most symbolic building.

No matter how many casualties resulted from the blast, the village had to feel the pain.

Boom!

The massive, house-sized Tailed Beast Bomb surged forward like an unstoppable cannonball.

Everything in its path was obliterated.

Buildings turned to rubble.

Shinobi and civilians alike were vaporized in an instant.

The people of the Cloud Village were once again reminded of just how terrifying a Tailed Beast could be.

There was no stopping it.

Even at their fastest, A and the Third Raikage could only move so quickly.

Trying to intercept the attack at this point was impossible.

Unless they had mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique, there was no way to reach it in time.

The Night of the Nine-Tails was proof enough—when the Nine-Tails unleashed its own Super Tailed Beast Bomb, the only person fast enough to react had been Minato.

Everyone else could only stand there and watch.

Even if someone had the guts to throw themselves in front of it, would they even be able to block it?

Speed alone wasn't enough.

If you couldn't physically intercept the attack in time, there was nothing you could do.

"Two-Tails!!!"

A massive explosion rocked the village.

A gigantic mushroom cloud surged into the sky.

A shockwave tore through the streets, flattening entire districts.

The floating rock formations that defined the Cloud Village shattered into fragments.

Everyone within range of the explosion—whether shinobi or civilian—was caught in the blast.

The damage the Two-Tails had caused up until now paled in comparison to the destruction unleashed by this one attack.

For the first time in years, fury twisted the Third Raikage's face.

With a roar, he launched himself at the Two-Tails.

A flash of blue lightning streaked across the battlefield.

The beast barely had time to react before it was slammed into the ground.

When facing A, the Two-Tails could still fight back.

But against the Third Raikage?

It was completely outmatched.

Hidden in the shadows, Black Zetsu observed the scene.

He couldn't help but smirk.

But he had to suppress his amusement—at least for now.

If Madara found out he was enjoying this, it could lead to unnecessary trouble.

He had endured for so many years. A little longer wouldn't hurt.

The Third Raikage, still seething, continued his relentless assault.

He pummeled the Two-Tails without mercy, striking it over and over until the colossal beast lay motionless.

It was exhausted.

It didn't matter how much chakra a Tailed Beast had—if it was beaten down hard enough, it would eventually be unable to fight back.

Panting heavily, the Raikage turned to his gathered subordinates.

"Begin rescue operations immediately," he ordered. "And send out requests for aid—especially to Konoha. We need Uzumaki Kushina's help to reseal the Two-Tails."

Madara hadn't even stepped onto the battlefield, yet one of his subordinates alone had thrown the Cloud Village into complete chaos.

The Third Raikage had no idea how many White Zetsu had infiltrated the village during the commotion.

Some of his own shinobi had already been replaced.

There was no way to hide an incident of this scale.

Even if the Cloud Village wanted to suppress the news, spies from other villages would leak the information eventually.

But instead of trying to cover it up, they did the opposite.

They broadcasted the attack.

The message was clear: The Cloud Village was under siege. Other villages should prepare themselves.

And, of course, they used the opportunity to request reinforcements.

Unlike the Stone Village, the Cloud Village wasn't going to keep this quiet.

The Third Raikage didn't want to create an atmosphere of fear among his own people.

Even though he knew that his village was now filled with potential traitors.

Even though he knew that some of his own shinobi would stab them in the back.

There was nothing he could do about it.

For now, the priority was survival.

Regardless of the internal threats, the Cloud Village needed to regroup.

Black Zetsu had expected the Raikage to react like Onoki—to lock down the entire village and root out the infiltrators.

But he didn't.

That played right into Black Zetsu's hands.

Before long, messengers raced out from the Cloud Village.

By the end of the day, every major ninja village would know what had happened.

The official reports would arrive faster than any spies could smuggle the news out.

After all, spies had to be discreet.

The Cloud Village was shouting the news to the world.

By the time the message reached Konoha, night had already fallen.

The streets were lively.

Warm lights illuminated the village.

The entire atmosphere stood in stark contrast to the devastation unfolding in the Cloud Village.

One side was drowning in fire and misery.

The other was bustling with celebrations and laughter.

"Lord Second, an urgent report from the Cloud Village!"

Senju Tobirama barely glanced up.

Tsunade had decided that he should handle Konoha's internal affairs—so she had dumped every tedious responsibility on him.

And since Tobirama excelled at administration, he had no excuse to refuse.

So here he was, buried under mountains of paperwork.

Tobirama was still fuming.

His grandniece had no shame.

She had tossed everything onto his plate and walked away without a care.

And where was she now?

Out shopping with Kushina.

If Tobirama had known that Nawaki was dragging Hashirama into a late-night mahjong session, he might have actually lost his mind.

Instead, he was the only one stuck working.

Even in death, he was still dealing with this nonsense.

"Just leave it on the desk," Tobirama said, barely looking up.

He hadn't slept.

Not that it mattered—he was in his Edo Tensei state.

He could work forever.

A pile of documents sat before him.

Konoha had its own internal matters to handle.

What could be more important than that?

Cloud Village's urgent request?

It could wait.

Tobirama's focus remained on stabilizing Konoha's political landscape.

Superficially, everything had been resolved.

But beneath the surface?

The village was still a mess.

Tsunade had conveniently ignored the lingering issues.

She had thrown it all onto him.

With a deep scowl, Tobirama resumed reading his documents.

Cloud Village was in trouble?

Too bad.

They could wait in line.
