In the middle of the night, Rope felt his way into Yoichi's makeshift tent.
Yoichi was talking to that female secretary.
Rope's mouth twitched at first, and when he saw the two of them looking at him, he suddenly felt embarrassed. But after calming down a little, Rope found that the two's clothes were intact and there was no sign of releasing their true nature, so he felt a little relieved. Then, he coughed lightly, and then smiled and said to Yoichi: "Mr. Yoichi, I got new information from inside the League."
Yoichi straightened his clothes, then smiled and said, "Professor Rope has something to say."
Rope glanced at the female secretary behind Yoichi, then didn't speak.
Yoichi noticed Rope's look, then smiled and said, "Professor Rope please don't worry, Mizushin is the person I trust the most. There is no need to avoid it."
The female secretary behind him smiles and nods in response, but has no intention of going out either.
Rope shrugged his shoulders signaling that it was fine to fall back like that.
Then he said, "I have some connections in the League, so I got some information. It is said that due to the big incident, there are many vacancies in the League's internal staff, so the League inspector this time has not been decided yet. So you don't have to worry about inspectors showing up in Cerulean City in the next two days, so you don't need to be so careful."
Yoichi's eyes lit up when he heard that.
"Is what you say true?! Professor Rope!"
Yoichi looked excited and Rope frowned, "I don't seem to have the need to lie to you, after all, there's nothing to enmity about our first meeting."
Yoichi calmed down a little after hearing this, and realized that his tone was not right. You know, the man in front of him is not just a young man in his twenties.
This is a Professor, whether it is a newly promoted Professor or not. The big capital in this world, except for those few big consortiums that can influence the economy of a region, there is no capital that can fight against the real top powerhouses. After all, the number of children of big families who became high-end trainers was not small, but a true top trainer would often not be able to be produced by a family that did business.
So in that sense, Steven Stone really was the outlier.
Rope always had a hard time thinking about whether that guy with a head full of rocks would be as powerful as Cynthia and Red if he put all of his energy into cultivating Pokémon instead of digging for rocks while preparing to take over from his own old man, only to end up cultivating Pokémon along the way.
Although the gap between them is really not that big, but this little gap, in a battle, is able to determine the victory or defeat.
Of course, each of these three guys has their own specialties. In a wild fight, Red from Pallet Town would be the strongest, Cynthia would be slightly stronger in a regular matchup, and Steven would have the advantage if he was allowed to use Mega Evolutions. After all, his Metagross is strong in its own right, and after Mega Evolution, it takes more advantage than Red, and Cynthia isn't so bad, after all, Garchomp is also Pseudo-Legendary.
That's why Rope also said that these three are each strong in their own way.
Back to the topic.
Yoichi knew that the gap between himself and Rope was enormous in every sense, so he naturally apologized, "I'm sorry, Professor Rope, I wasn't doubting you I was just too excited and lost my temper, I hope you'll forgive me."
Rope wasn't angry in the first place, just a bit displeased so he also just waved his hand to show that he didn't care.
"So, Mr. Yoichi, bring the large machinery. I'm sure what's down there is something the staff can't risk coming into contact with, so please send machinery to clear it. Since there won't be any inspectors showing up for a while then I guess you guys don't have any concerns about moving too much and alerting the others. I guess you guys have the ability to take care of things within these two days. As for the reason, just say that I asked you guys to help with the inspection work."
Yoichi did have a slight hesitation when he heard this.
Seeing this, Rope laughed, then asked with a smirk, "Is it hard to believe that Mr. Yoichi, doesn't intend to give me the item?"
Yoichi immediately retorted, "No, since I promised Professor Rope, then I won't fail to keep my word, I'm just thinking about what machinery to let in to be the most efficient."
Yoichi's tone was very sincere, making it sound quite comfortable.
Rope naturally smiled back. He nodded and threw down a "Then we'll wait for Mr. Yoichi's good news."
Then he walked out of the tent, giving Yoichi and Mizushin a derisive look before leaving.
Yoichi looks embarrassed and coughs lightly.
Rope gave a smile and then left.
Once again, Yoichi and Mizushin were the only two people left in the tent.
The smile on Yoichi's face tightens, tightens, and eventually becomes and its cold.
While the polite smile on Mizushin's face became bewitching and more bewitching.
"Mr. Yoichi? You, it seems that you still have some concerns."
Mizushin said in a voice with a strong hint of seduction.
Yoichi frowned, "Do you have any idea how much is involved behind a Pokémon Professor? For a small Cerulean City Water Source Corporation, isn't the price I have to pay a little too high to remove a Pokémon Professor for you."
Mizushin said in a pitiful tone, "You are going too far. How can you help us get rid of a Pokémon Professor? You want to take control of the Cerulean City Water Company, and I am helping you get rid of the obstacles. And even if I get rid of it, I will be the one who does it, right?"
Yoichi was unmoved.
"I don't know what conflict of interest between you two caused you to make sure to get rid of this Professor Rope. But..." He glanced deeply at the smiling Mizushin and spoke to the woman who was as bewitching as she could be with her knitted brows, "What I want, I must be given."
Mizushin smiled, "Of course I will keep my promise, as long as you cooperate with me, the water company in Cerulean City will be yours, and after which, I and the organization behind me will help you hold the water company in the entire Kanto region in your hands. It's a win-win situation for us."
Yoichi nods.
"However, there is one thing you are mistaken about." Mizushin speaks again.
Yoichi looked towards her, slightly confused, but after seeing Mizushin's eyes, he couldn't help but shudder lightly.
Crazy, confused, and full of desire.
Mizushin's eyes looked like they were inhabited by an ancient god of chaos, not a single normal emotion could be discerned.
"Rope and I don't really have a conflict. I just, just, it's very much like seeing a genius destroyed, destroying such a beautiful work of art...it must, must, be beautiful."
Mizushin's face was flushed with an unnatural flush.
