Pallet Town town entrance
Professor Oak, Daisy is waiting for Juniper and Whitley to arrive.
It's not exactly warm, but Pallet Town is still lush and green. The small wooded area is still inhabited by a number of Pokémon.
Pidgey, Caterpie, Rattata...
Although there weren't any rare Pokémon, it was quite difficult to have such a large number of Pokémon in a place with a large number of humans.
It was also a credit to Professor Oak, whose research was on the relationship between Pokémon and humans, that Pallet Town was his hometown and the testing ground for his theories.
And from the current atmosphere of Pallet Town, it was clear that things were still going well here.
"Grandpa, it won't be many months until the Indigo Plateau Conference opens, right?"
Daisy suddenly said.
"Ehh, there should still be 3 months left. Will Rope still have time to collect the badges though? If anything else happens, he'll have to be tripped up again."
Speaking of which Professor Oak was saying this in an extremely worried tone.
Already Rope had begun his travels, it was hard to say what else would happen to the guy. This is much more exciting than Red and the others.
"If it's not possible, let him take the Pokémon League's examination." Daisy was equally worried, but things weren't too bad; after all, the conditions of participation arranged by League were quite lenient.
Badge collecting also tended to be the path chosen by those with money and leisure, and those who had the desire to actually make something of themselves in the field of trainers.
Those who just attend the Indigo Plateau Conference for fun usually choose to send their children to Pokémon Research School to get a diploma and then attend the Indigo Plateau Conference; if they can do it, they can do it; if they can't, they can go on to a school such as Celadon University, or they can simply get a job.
Anyway, those who are able to go to a school with this kind of qualification often have families that don't lack money.
You can also take the League's qualifying exams that Daisy just mentioned, which are generally used by trainers who don't have the time but have some experience and ability, or those who haven't collected enough badges but still want to participate in the Indigo Plateau Conference will also choose this path to get a ticket to the Indigo Plateau Conference. Plateau Conference. Or rather, most non-novice trainers would choose such a path.
Those who had the courage to travel were already a minority, and those who were able to pass the Gym Leader's Examination were naturally the minority of the minority.
Of course, those who do well at the Indigo Plateau Conference are largely absent from those who attend the conference through either of these routes.
Teaching in research schools uses game-like machines. The checking exams are literally colored by luck.
You randomize to Magikarp, the examiner randomizes to Onix?
...Points to you, I ordered.
"I don't think Rope will choose this path. I think he'll end up abandoning his travels if he just can't make it and just go around challenging dojos." Professor Oak thought for a moment, then said.
Daisy thought along those lines, and that was true. Odds were that Rope, a guy who was also a martial arts fighter, wouldn't think of competing through any other method than collecting badges.
Couldn't afford to lose that one...
"Professor Oak!!! Sister Daisy!!!"
A tender childish voice came out from behind the duo.
The duo turned around, then unanimously flashed a smile.
"Ah, Ash! What brings you here?"
Professor Oak asked with a smile.
The visitor had messy hair and was wearing a blue vest.
Behind him was a mature beauty in a pink top and long skirt smiling at him before nodding her head towards Professor Oak and Daisy.
The visitors were none other than the mother and son duo of Ash and Delia.
"Mom and I are going to go into the woods and pick a little tree fruit to make a cake for dinner tonight!"
Ash looked excited, and wasn't sure if it was because he was going to pick tree fruits to make a cake, or if he was excited to meet this Professor Oak who would be giving his first Pokémon in a few months.
"It's been a long time, Professor Oak and Daisy!"Delia from the back came up as well, then smiled and greeted Professor Oak.
"It's been a long time, Aunt Delia, you're still so beautiful!" Daisy was rather excited and shook Delia's hand. It was evident that the two were quite close.
Delia also smiled and said, "Daisy is even more beautiful than before!"
While the two women on this side were commercially blowing each other off, Ash on the other side asked suspiciously, "Are you waiting for someone, Dr.? Is Brother Rope back?"
Professor Oak shook his head and said, "Why yes, that Rope guy has only gotten two badges. It's still early to come back!"
"In the future, I will definitely collect badges faster than Brother Rope!"
Ash clenched his fist hard, then cheered himself up.
"Is that so! Then you have to work hard."
Professor Oak gave Ash encouragement with his mouth, but in the bottom of his heart, he couldn't help but slander that Rope's travel difficulty wasn't something that anyone could suffer from. Can anyone just casually fight a Legendary Pokémon?
If Rope were here, he would have told Professor Oak that this little kid in front of him was the one who had really seen the world.
Is it a joke that any Legendary Pokémon who hasn't crossed paths with Ash has to leave the group?
Mind you, some of the things Rope has experienced have also robbed Ash of his experiences for inexplicable reasons.
But Ash's eternal age of ten in the original is also rather implausible. Let's just say that parallel worlds are marvelous in more ways than one.
Without chatting for more than a moment, Ash and Delia both went off into the woods to pick tree nuts, while Professor Oak and Daisy were still waiting for Juniper and Whitley.
Good thing they didn't have to wait long.
The sound of a car engine broke the natural harmony of the town.
From a distance, a jeep approached from afar, not too fast, with the intention of a sightseeing tour.
Professor Oak and Daisy were also relieved at the sight of the vehicle.
The driver was Crystal, Professor Oak's new assistant after Rope left. Also a Pokédex holder.
The title was 'Capturer', a young girl from the Johto region.
The fact that they don't pick up Juniper and Whitley in person was requested by the girls themselves. Saying that coming here to study was enough of a nuisance in itself for Professor Oak. It would be too embarrassing for Professor Oak to pick them up in person.
Professor Oak couldn't resist them, so he could only let Crystal pick them up.
To say it was not fast, to say it was not slow.
Not long after, Crystal carried Professor Juniper and Whitley in front of Professor Oak and Daisy.
Professor Juniper got out of the car with Whitley, whose eyes were full of curiosity and excitement, and then extended his hand towards Professor Oak, "Long time no see, Professor Oak!"
