Whitley looked at the white light in the smoke with an excited expression on her face.
Of course she could tell that it was the light of evolution.
And of the two Pokémon in the smoke and dust, the only one that could evolve again was Charmeleon.
No, maybe it should be called Charizard now.
"Roar!!!"
A low roar rang out from the smoke. It was followed by a surge of air currents, and in the sound of flapping wings, the figures of Charizard and Electivire reappeared in front of the crowd.
Charizard flapped his wings and hung in mid-air, his fists still burning with flames. But the flames were no longer as wild as before.
The flames on his hands were as tame as a newborn Wooloo.
It was as if they had been suppressed by the lightning that was splashing around.
But Electivire on the other side didn't think so.
As a rival, he could feel the flames' power and Charizard's strength.
Just now when Charizard was still Charmeleon, Electivire was already struggling to cope with it. And now...
He was going to be unable to withstand it...
A hint of exhaustion appeared on Electivire's face.Charizard seized this opportunity, his wings stopped flapping, his feet hanging in the air landed on the ground, and then violently twisted his waist and launched his power.
The flames in his hands also completed their transformation from the image of Wooloo to that of an angry Gyarados in an instant.
The flames roared with fury, extending backward from Charizard's fist and covering Charizard's entire arm.
Then it ate forward in a vicious rush.
The front of the flames condensed into the shape of a Charizard's dragon head.
In the next moment, Electivire felt a tremendous force and heat blast him hard.
Electivire just felt like she was hit by a super armored mad rhino, and felt like all her bones were falling apart.
The next thing Rope, Electivire was blasted by the flames into the protective wall against the station.
The flames cleared and Electivire, who was sprawled out on the ground, had both of his eyes turned into circles.
"Electivire is incapacitated, Charizard wins, and Rope, the challenger, wins!
Whitley had a smile on his face.
This actually seemed rather unprofessional, the referee had to be fair.
But Whitley really isn't a professional referee, a smile and a laugh is normal.
Lt. Surge's head really went numb. First he subconsciously took his Electivire back into the ball, then he looked at Rope, and the stoic and majestic Charizard...
Numb, really numb...
Evolved, Elite Level Four...
This is only the 6th gym, wait until you really fight! When you do play Indigo Plateau Conference, are you going to play League Conference with a Champion level Pokémon?
Can't you do something human... Indigo Plateau Conference is facing a group of trainers who are mainly new trainers!
Lt. Surge thought about how none of the players at the League Conference had been able to get a single point out of Rope's hands...
It's brutal...
Rope looked at Lt. Surge, who was a little bit stunned, and first walked up and touched Charizard's head.
Rope's Charizard was even taller than the normal Charizard, but the Charizard himself was already taller than a human.
So Rope couldn't quite reach Charizard's head even with his hand outstretched.
Charizard looked at Rope's outstretched hand and rolled his eyes, then put his head down and put his head into Rope's hand.
Rope rubbed Charizard's not-so-soft head and gave a big smile.
Whitley was actually a little worried at first watching Rope approach Charizard. After all, fire-type Pokémon, especially the fire-type Pokémon of the Gosan family from all over the world.
In the very beginning of their initial forms they were generally more obedient, but when they waited for their energy levels to get boosted and evolved, their tempers would become more and more explosive.
Typical Pokémon are Charizard from the Kanto region and Typhlosion from the Johto region.
This is common among Fire-type Pokémon.
So although I have confidence in the bond between Rope and Charizard. But worry is always inevitable. After all, even though the safety of the Mikado is already the best among all Pokémon. But the danger was still full on.
Rope then took Charizard back into his ball. He wasn't really worried, after all, if Charizard really dared to disobey his proper instructions, he would dare himself to get into the ring and beat up his opponent first, then Charizard again.
A fire suddenly sprang from Rope's shoulder, startling Whitley who was close to him.Rope waved his hand at Whitley, signaling her to stay away from him for the time being.
Charmeleon evolved into Charizard, which boosted Rope's flame ability once again...as for how strong...Rope couldn't quite say...he could try his hand at a fight with the security guards at the Pink Cat's house someday.
Rope took a few steps in Lt. Surge's direction, staying in a safe position, after all, he was still growing in his powers now, and he would lose a little bit of control.
"Lt. Surge, give me the badge!"
Rope shouted from a distance.
Lt. Surge cocked his head and looked at Rope quizzically, obviously very confused as to why Rope was talking so far away.
"Here! What's going on here?"
Lt. Surge asked as he pulled out the pre-prepared badge from his own pocket and tossed it to Rope before opening his mouth.
"Temporary loss of control after an increase in ability."
Rope took the badge and waved it at Lt. Surge to signal that he had received it.
Lt. Surge was even more confused, "Ability enhancement? Didn't you used to say that your abilities basically don't grow anymore?"
"In the past that wasn't something I didn't think about becoming a trainer..."
Rope was also helpless, after all, he didn't think it would be a mechanic to take in a Pokémon and then enhance its abilities at first.
However, it could be roughly surmised that it was a process of fusion between the 'Seed' and the rules of the world.
Rope wasn't too sure about the specifics, and could only speculate from Year's mere words.
"Really can't figure you psychics out..."
Lt. Surge said, scratching his head rather bitterly.
"Don't think about it if you can't figure it out, even I know a thing or two about it myself."
Hearing this, Lt. Surge nodded his head with great approval, honestly, if you can't think about it, don't think about it, this was both his strength and his weakness.
Not having the talent on thinking yet not willing to go deeper, so a lot of things not understanding is inevitable. But this way to live will also be happy and happy and easier.
"So what's next for you?"
Lt. Surge asked as he pressed the button again on the console and started a slow descent towards the station.
Rope nodded and said, "Going to hang out on the beach with Whitley for a bit in a little while, get on the ship in a couple of days while S.S. Anne's here, and then head to Cinnabar Island."
"As I recall, this year's route doesn't go to Cinnabar Island, right?...Oh, that's right, if you say it's going, then it's basically going...tsk, privileged dog."
Lt. Surge said with a sour look on his face. Rope, on the other hand, rubbed his nose and smiled.
Whitley looked at the two men who were playing dumb riddles with a dumbfounded look on their faces.
————————
Vermillion City, Vermillion Beach
Rope was laying directly on the beach in his swim trunks, soaking up the sun.
On the other side of the water, Whitley is playing in the water with the other Pokémon.
Chimchar, Foongus, Growlithe, and Gastly are all splashing around in the water with Whitley.
There weren't any aquatic Pokémon around but these little guys could all swim so Rope wasn't worried about any danger.
Anymore, with Charizard's speed at Rope's side, he could still get someone back in no time.
That's right, Charizard wasn't in the water...no way the guy was not allowed to let his tail soak in the water in the first two stages.
While there are now have been able to (there was an action in Pokémon Origins where Red's Charizard fell into the water), habits left over from the past aren't so easy to get rid of.
Rope didn't go into the water, though he doesn't want to fear the ocean like the average Devil Fruit User. And he doesn't go off the deep end in the ocean. But he didn't like the water...
Just being realistic.
There were still a lot of people at Dead Leaf Beach. Although Vermillion City isn't a very famous tourist town. But as one of the few big cities in Kanto near the sea, there are still a lot of people coming here to see the sea.
Life has been such that not every person living in Kanto has seen the sea.
The yearning for the sea is often only a yearning.
People like Whitley are lucky to be able to come to the beach.
Rope Of course, Rope was a man who lived in a coastal town before he crossed over. The sea is nothing more than ordinary in his eyes.
When he first came to Pokémon World and was led to the beach by Professor Oak, he was still very interested in the sea and the Pokémon in it.
But after seeing more of it, I didn't really feel anything.
Rope was lying on the beach with a big grin on his face, and all the men and women on the beach would basically glance in Rope's direction from time to time.
And the Pokémon on the beach all walked around Rope one by one.
There was no way, when Entei was lying there, there were basically no Pokémon in the vicinity that dared to approach.
The sense of oppression was too strong.
Of course, Entei's release of his sense of oppression was naturally authorized by Rope.
He just wanted to bask in the sun honestly and didn't want to attract trouble.
He was still quite prescient, after all, the sight of the women on the beach would always glance at Rope from time to time, which was still rather subtle.
It wasn't unheard of for those who stared at Rope like hungry wolves.
As for the men, they were basically looking at the huge Charizard, which was very imposing at first glance, and the unknown Pokémon, which released a sense of oppression that made people stay away from it.
What man could resist the temptation of such a Pokémon?
There were also some people who had already recognized Rope's identity, and from time to time, they whispered to their sidekicks. It seemed that they were discussing how to approach Rope.
"Delicious and refreshing Gabbing Tree Juice is here! Rotom!"
Rotom used his psychic power to prop up four bottles of different sizes from a stall not far away. The bottles were filled with tree juice.
"Looks like this Awakening Power skill machine didn't go wrong for you." Rope took the tree juice and beautifully washed a large mouthful through the straw.
"Awakening psychic power does come in handy Rotom." Rotom nodded in sympathy. In addition to being more convenient in daily life, it also strengthened Rotom's thinking speed.
The speed of arithmetic had naturally increased accordingly.
Rotom placed Entei's bottle at Entei's mouth, and handed Charizard's bottle to Charizard.
Entei and Charizard said thank you, and then drank it beautifully as well.
Rotom floated around Rope's head.
"Everyone's looking at you like a tiger, Rotom."
Rotom looked around at the people on the beach rather emotionally.
Every now and then a glance at Rope looked like a hunter glimpsing his prey.
Rope waved his hand in mixed indifference and said, "It doesn't matter, we can't lean over anyway."
Rope's words were said with a certainty that was incomparable. He naturally didn't intend to let others come close to his side.
After all, some people were indeed annoying.
If all these people had to deal with themselves one by one, then Rope wouldn't need to rest today.
Although Rotom didn't know what method Rope had to make those guys with a very obvious purpose come here, since Rope had said so, then he just had to stay.
As expected, just as Rotom guessed, someone soon approached the place. It was a decent looking youthful man.
I say youth, but it still looked like he was four or five years older than Rope.
He cleared his throat in the distance then took a step in Rope's direction.
"Sure you don't want to mind? Rotom?"
Rotom looked at Rope suspiciously.
Rope still waved his hand lazily. It was such a nice sun, it would be disrespectful not to take the opportunity to get a good tan.
He's been working for months, can't he get some rest?
Moving on to the music...cough cough, wrong movie.
Rotom wondered how Rope was going to 'talk' this man back when he wasn't even bothering to move his body.
Soon enough, Rotom realized something was wrong.
The man's gait was getting slower and slower, to the point where it could be described as a hobble.
"So, so hot..."
The man only felt like he was in the middle of a desert, with the blazing sun scorching the earth as well as him. He was like a fish that had lost its water, or like a traveler who had gotten lost in the desert and was wandering around.
There was no direction, only the burning sun and the feeling of dehydration accompanying him.
The man felt like his eyes had blurred and he was almost about to pass out.
"Rotom, get the man out of here."
Rope was also keeping an eye on the man, and seeing this, Rope could only shake his head before giving Rotom the order to send the man out.
"Okay, Rotom!"
Curious, Rotom floated over to the man's side and noticed the man's agonized expression as if he were suffering from dehydration-like symptoms.
Rotom shook his head in disbelief then used Confusion to send the man out of the place.
After sending him out of the place, the man's companion quickly brings him back in, looking at Rope with a puzzled and amazed expression.
Rotom is puzzled, as is the entire beach, and the people paying attention to the place are puzzled...what the hell is going on here?
Did the man have a sudden heart attack?
It didn't feel like it.
So...
Everyone looks to Rope.
Did he do this?
Rope is lazily lying in the sun as if nothing happened.
On the beach, two kids who were playing with a ball accidentally knocked it away.
"Don't run!"
One kid followed the ball and ran straight towards Rope.
