You Finish Your Song, I’ll Take the Stage

"So, since we all don't have one thing to say, I'll be brief?"

Rope sat at the top of the conference room, smiling as he looked at these League 'executives' in front of him.

Hoopa covered his mouth and laughed lightly on the side: "Say a few words, say a few words!"

At the bottom, Lance and the rest of them were all stifling their laughter. Although it was said that this hand Rope this guy used to violently seize power was rather irrational.

But the relief was also a real relief. You know, Lance had been here explaining to them for half a day, but these people just couldn't get their work done. No matter what proposal Lance said, they could find a whole bunch of reasons to block the proposal from passing.

Lance's face actually stunk to high heaven before Rope arrived. So he was happy to see Rope teach these guys a lesson.

And like the Yoshizo guy said, Rope doesn't belong in the League's political system. He's just a white guy.

But that's why Rope doesn't have to think about the trade offs. Of course Granny Agatha is the same. So it's only because Granny Agatha isn't there that they're able to run wild.

If Granny Agatha was around, that old woman from before would have been thrown on a day trip to the spirit world by Gengar.

However, Rope is much more difficult to deal with than Granny Agatha, who can only beat you up and scare you at most, but Rope is different, Rope will also disgust you.

It can be much more annoying to just fight.

So Lance silently gave Rope the nod.

Rope looked at the ugly faces of the gang at the bottom. It was also a slight smile. Of course he knew that these guys in front of him, even if they seemed to be quite kind to themselves, they actually still hated themselves.

After all, realistically speaking, if Rope could sit in this position once, he could sit in this position a second time. Especially if it was by such means.

That was something they were hating. It would mean the full force of the division.

"I still want you all to realize that the situation we are in is not simply an invasion by a villainous organization. Rather, we are going up against an extremely powerful organization with unknown ideas to attack Legendary Pokémon."

"We're not sure of Servants of God's underlying purpose. But what we need to know is this. The opponent's strength is far beyond our imagination. That's why the entire League needs to twist together and all make a concerted effort, or else what awaits us will most likely be our demise."

Rope spoke from above, but the people below didn't have much of a reaction. This was normal, after all, no matter how one looked at it, this situation in front of them was still unclear. And no matter if it was Divine or Servants of God, neither of them had any intention of confronting League for the time being.

This wasn't the same as these villainous organizations like Team Rocket. The villainous organizations are out to subvert League's rule. So that means they have a direct conflict of interest.

But Servants of God doesn't.

To be honest, it was only because Rope had used his strength to calm the situation, otherwise someone would definitely stand up and say something like, "Are you so focused on dealing with the Servants of God because you have some personal grudge?" or, "I don't think our goals conflict with those of the Servants of God. Let's sit down and talk about what their ultimate goal is. Since the other party is so strong, then the greatest victory would be to bring them into our camp!"

It was actually human nature. However, Rope's intuition and related inferences told him that Servants of God would never be at peace with League. Even more so...they wouldn't be at peace with the world...

"I know that all of you here don't actually have much power. Only the power behind them is justifiable. But look at you guys just now," Rope spread his hands, "I'm just going to go straight at you guys, and the forces behind you are going to have time to stop me?"

"By the same token, Servants of God will only have an easier time dealing with you guys than I do with you. That's why you must support our operation properly, or you all will have nothing left when you are caught by the other side and we are unable to rescue you due to lack of preparation."

Rope had a threatening smile on his face.

Reasoning was impossible to listen to anymore... after all, something like power was what could make people even disregard their lives, let alone anything else.

And likewise, what these people valued most without threatening their own rights was naturally their own lives. Rope didn't threaten them with their rights, but with their lives.

"Professor Rope is joking, I believe that you experts in the field of sparring are able to keep us safe. And of course, we will have the right to cooperate with you."

The old man Akutagawa who spoke before said so.

He had a kind smile on his face. Looking at Rope was like looking at his juniors.

The smile on Rope's face remained unchanged as he gently nodded, then said, "In that case, then please go and prepare the appropriate supplies and information according to Lance's plan. I believe that with the efficiency of all of you, this is not a tedious task."

The crowd then stared at each other for a moment, then they all got up and then left the conference room.

The originally slightly crowded conference room instantly became empty.

Only Rope, and Lance and the three of them were left sitting in their seats without moving.

"Rope, are you sure this is okay?"

Lorelei asked with a somewhat worried frown.

"They hold a lot of resources in their hands, most of which are beyond our normal reach. That's why their existence is still necessary. But if you deal with them forcefully like this..."

Lorelei's concern was not unreasonable, the reason why the League existed in this form was because everyone had their own strengths. It was as if though the Elite Four champions were at the absolute top of the entire League's system.

It's guaranteed by force.

But likewise, underneath them there were also these executives who were in charge of all sorts of powers. They often have no small amount of power behind them. There are some very rare resources in their possession.

For example, evolution stones, and other resources. These were all things that were in the hands of certain administrators...

Rope silently shook his head, ''I don't have that much time to continue spending with them. If they dare to drop the ball on me at a time like this. Then I'll dare League to change the group..."

He looked at Lance and the three of them with surprised eyes and said, "Don't doubt it. You guys know it too. As long as you guys stay out of the way, it's only a matter of time for me to uproot these guys along with their forces."

Bruno muffled, "Don't be modest, even if we intervene it's likewise just a matter of time."

Rope didn't pick up on that.

"Our task is very difficult... the other party's strength still hasn't been mapped out, but our strength the other party has basically figured out. After all, we're in the light and the place is in the dark..."

Just as Rope finished his sentence, Lance shook his head then spoke, "So, Rope, I think that we should get some more people to help. At least make sure we have support people on hand that the other side doesn't know about as well."

Rope also nodded and said, "Indeed, we should look for this kind of hidden and shadowy assistance again."

Then he looked up and smiled, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking."

Lance had an equal smile on his face before the two said in unison, "Team Rocket."

Saffron City, Silph Co. building

Giovanni looks at strokes Persian's head and looks at the burly man in front of him in a suit and Groudon mask and says, "I've heard about your masks. Rumor has it that you people bar League have been tossing around a lot lately."

Groudon shook his head and said, "We people have no intention of making an enemy of League. But for the same reason, we cannot stand with League."

Giovanni's face remained unchanged, "But this all has nothing to do with me, and your sudden appearance in my office is already a sign of disrespect."

"Giovanni of Earth...even though he has been reduced to a lost dog, he still harbors high honor?"

Groudon's tone took on a slight sneer.

Giovanni's Team Rocket had taken the initiative to defect to the League, and then used the opportunity to clear their name. Though the exact reason for this was not known to outsiders. However, many of Team Rocket's peripheral members believed that Team Rocket had betrayed their beliefs. They began attacking Team Rocket from all angles.

The cannon fodder that appeared in the previous big event was a typical example. And there was no telling how many such people were in the dirty, dark corners.

"What's it to you."

Giovanni's face remained unchanged, except that the Persian under him inadvertently flashed his teeth towards Groudon.

Groudon smiled and said, "I'm Agent 'Earth' of the Servants of God organization I've always been quite an admirer of Mr. Giovanni. And would like to invite you to join us in our great endeavor as one of the pioneers of the new era."

Said Groudon as he pulled out a Landorus mask from his own bosom and then said, "As long as Mr. Giovanni is willing to join us, I can do the honors and give you this mask and you will have the rights to our Agent and then be involved in every great event after that."

"Not interested, go away." Giovanni spoke right back without even thinking.

Earth's brow furrowed under his mask.

"Is it hard to believe that Mr. Giovanni has really become League's loyal dog?"

"I have not become League's loyal dog, or rather, I am equally uninterested in League and you guys."

A mocking smile finally appeared on Giovanni's face, "Besides, the old me was the one who founded Team Rocket. And you guys are nothing more than rats in hiding now. Who are you to invite me to approach the sewers and join you?"

Groudon isn't speaking, but his fists are clenched and he looks like he's about to get physical with Giovanni.

But Giovanni remained unperturbed, and after mocking Groudon, he proceeded to jerk off his cat.

After a long time, Groudon sneered, "Giovanni is worthy of being Giovanni. I hope that when we meet on the battlefield in the future, we will be able to have a good fight with you."

Then a Nian Li Earth Puppet appeared beside him, and proceeded to take Groudon and disappeared into thin air.

Giovanni, on the other hand, just let out a light laugh with a slight sneer, then shook his head and said, "Come out."

A woman wearing gym clothes and with short, inky hair appeared in the same spot.

The person who came was none other than Sabrina.

"I've already rejected them outright, so you don't have to look at me anymore."

Giovanni's tone was still deep, but those who were familiar with him could hear some helplessness in his tone.

And Sabrina said coldly, "I'll keep watching you."

A dry and direct expression of her uneasiness.

The veins on Giovanni's forehead jumped and he nearly failed to tense up.

He let out a long breath before saying, "I have no reason to join them alright! Ever since Red and the others helped me resolve the conflict between me and Silver, I've had no desire to fight against the League. You worrying about me is completely unnecessary Sabrina."

"What's more, back then we were like-minded co-conspirators. But you don't trust me at all now..."

Giovanni had a rare moment of resentment. Honestly, he could have survived if someone else had looked at him like that, but this was his man in front of him! He was one of his most valued men back then!

Now, he had completely changed into Rope's shape. She didn't even need Rope to take the initiative to ask, she took the initiative to look at herself...

Is there any law? Is there still a law!

"No, Silver's settlement with you was Red's to maneuver, yes, but it was Rope who did all the planning from start to finish."

There was nothing but seriousness and even a point of pride in his tone.

Giovanni was silent for a moment, then waved a hand at Sabrina.

"Whatever, but for now you leave, I have some things to take care of."

Sabrina looks behind Giovanni, and there's nothing there. At least to the naked eye.

"Do you need me to help you? You're an important reserve combatant and can't be damaged before Rope enlists you."

Giovanni shook his head, "That won't be necessary, go ahead. I can handle myself here."

Giovanni still had that look that made people feel confident in him.Sabrina pondered for a moment, then nodded. With a flash of her body, she disappeared in the same spot.

Giovanni saw Sabrina disappear, then spoke, "We haven't seen each other for many years, come on, let's talk."

A white and purple humanoid Pokémon appeared behind Giovanni in the middle of the office.

He used his mind power to move the couch close to Giovanni's desk, and then sat on it, looking at Giovanni with a cold face.

"Long time no see, Mewtwo..."

Giovanni couldn't help but get angry for a minute. Seriously, that idiot with the Groudon mask shouldn't know what kind of office he was actually in yet...

Sabrina, Giovanni, he couldn't handle any of them. If he counted Mewtwo in, he probably wouldn't even have to have his office destroyed for that guy to have much of a fight left in him.

"Why have you come? Revenge?"

Giovanni asked.

Mewtwo sniffed and shook his head, "Just passing through."

Giovanni was dumbfounded, a reason that made sense.

"Doing Rope a favor. Watching you."

Giovanni: ...
