Rope looked at the location of the village that Cynthia had marked out for herself, and for a moment was a bit stunned.
"As I recall... the initial village is supposed to be a tourist area, right?"
By the idol of the Village of Grass, Rope received a message from Cynthia.
Rope looked at the map in front of her and asked with some skepticism.
"It doesn't exactly count. Technically, it's a former tourist area, but in the last decade or so everyone's basically gotten tired of seeing all the so-called idyllic scenery and back-to-basics of the Initial Village. And there's no appealing Pokémon lore either, so basically no one travels there anymore."
Whitley blurted out this information off to the side. Seriously, as Rope's assistant, she was indeed doing her job very well. And in the midst of constant due diligence.
After all, this time when Rope was asking questions, even Rotom hadn't responded yet, and Whitley had already given the answer.
Rotom felt like he might be losing his job.
If Whitley's brain was better than even a computer, wouldn't it Rotom really be Rope's phone?
Rotom shuddered, feeling electricity surging through his charging holes.
No, he couldn't allow such a thing to happen, knowing that if he really became a telephone under Rope's command, then his value would be weakened too much!
No...it can't be like this!
So Rotom hurriedly added, "Actually, the Initial Village itself doesn't feel like a real tourist village."
"Their fire fire inexplicably, as if suddenly there are a lot of people who have had enough of the luxury of living a life of big fish and meat suddenly think of finding a place to rest their lonely souls, suddenly this plain, ordinary village just so hot."
"Then within but a year or two, this village also disappeared. The specific research report said that the reason why the village would not become a long-lasting tourist area was mainly because no one in this village had the idea of going for tourism development."
"The village exploded outside of their expectations, they didn't change their way of life because of the increase in guests, and many times guests were even turned away. So the village's flash in the pan was almost doomed."
Rotom poured out a brain dump of what he had summarized from the research report summary from the database. Rope nodded, this situation was really not unexpected either.
After all, something like tourism wasn't something you could discover up just because you wanted to develop it. Often times, even if there were enough opportunities, not everyone would be able to capitalize on them.
In other words, once said locals didn't take the initiative, then even if any efforts were made, nothing could be effectively developed.
"By the way, Rotom, here's a picture I found from the database, take a look."
With that, Rotom displayed a photo on her own screen of a young man and woman who were comparing their hearts to each other. But it wasn't the great evil that caught Rope's eye.
Rather, it was the rear view on their photo.
It was a statue of almost equal height. It was a bit far away, but you could see it eventually.
It was the idol of Arceus.
"Go! This is it!"
Rope made a snap decision, thinking that this was most likely the place he was looking for.
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, though, he realized he was missing something around him.
"Where's Hoopa? Not back yet?"
Rope asked, somewhat puzzled, as he opened his mouth.
"No, Hoopa said that things seem to be a bit troublesome on his end."
Whitley shook his head and spoke somewhat helplessly.
Rope frowned, "What trouble?"
"It is rumored that it is because the immigrants and the local aborigines have a certain conflict, and the aborigines' side intends to take back the immigrants' land."
Whitley felt that this conflict was really far-fetched.
One should know that according to their investigation and some information given by Rope. The immigrants from Village of Water had officially settled in Pastoria City about sixty years ago. And they also took the initiative to ask for numerous plots of land close to the wetlands that were not popular at that time. The scenery of the wetlands was indeed beautiful. But really not every wetland was suitable for long-term human habitation.
Especially if the place had a large number of Pokémon settled in it.
You don't know when you'll offend these Pokémon and get cleaned up by them. Even if they didn't, messing up every now and then was enough to drastically lower people's quality of life.
That's why they bought the land cheaply back then.
But when Rope thought about it now, such a situation was indeed quite normal. It wasn't after the establishment of the wild wilderness area in the Big Wetlands that the land could already be said to be worth every inch. It was normal for the people who had sold their land to others at that time to think about coming back to get a piece of the pie.
"Can't the people of Village of Water handle this kind of thing on their own?" Rope frowned slightly, "Don't they still have Kujira?"
Rope hadn't seen Sennogi with Kujira's Pokéball around his waist when he returned, and had guessed that Sennogi had probably left Kujira in Takeshi's care. You should know that this world is not a place where you can just say you're a scoundrel.
If you really offended someone, you'd have to think about whether or not you'd be able to handle a sneak attack in the wilderness with aplomb. After all, in this world, the truly dangerous situation was not an in-person conflict.
The wilderness was not a place outside the law, but the constraints of the law had been weakened to the lowest level. In places like that, it was more a matter of relying on one's moral fiber.
"Kujira is in, but there seems to be a high-ranking League official standing across the street, arrogant and insistent."
Whitley for a moment felt that it was a rip-off, although everyone knew that it was obviously that official who was going to come out to make a buck but this was a bit too ugly to eat, stirring up conflicts among the people just so that he could make a little bit of money for himself.
Rope was also helpless when he heard it. There were always people who were stupid enough to get into these things. The immigrants in Village of Water do seem to be grandmothers and uncles. But Village of Water but one Pokémon in Kujira was enough to scare League a bit.
Not that it couldn't be dealt with, but simply because it wasn't worth it. If a Pokémon of Wailord's caliber went back to the sea and really attacked, Sinnoh's cities near the ocean wouldn't be able to handle it.
That's why this kind of Pokémon is not to be offended if you can.
And wasn't this official clearly causing trouble for League?
Rope talked for a breath, then said, "Rotom, go email Lucian and tell him about this, focusing on Kujira's strength."
Rotom: "('ω') get! Got it Rotom!"
Rope shook his head, then went straight in leaning on the idol.
"Rope, wouldn't that be a bit disrespectful?"
Whitley was more than a little worried as she looked at Rope in this relaxed manner. After all, some of the so-called gods were not good-tempered.
It wouldn't make much difference to say that Rope's approach was a great disrespect.
But... then again, the gods of the Pokémon world's powers were given by the rules of the world, and had nothing at all to do with human beliefs, so they wouldn't care about human behavior, right?
As long as it wasn't really a matter of what its shitting on their heads under their noses.
Rope waved his hand and said, "Don't worry about it, this guy can't be petty even to my head."
Even if Arceus really wants to count, Rope still really intends to reason with him.
After nagging Rope for such a long time, is it not possible to lean on the side of his idol?
I don't think Arceus would have much of a problem with that. Even if he did...hold back!
Rope wouldn't be afraid of Arceus, after all, it didn't matter which big brother Arceus was. The big deal is that he's just shaking people! Who's afraid of who!
Whitley looks at Rope, and it's obvious that he can see how tired this Rope guy is.
If you really want to say that he's not tired, that's nonsense. No one would believe him if he didn't use up any of his energy traveling through space and time. And there are so many things are crowded in Rope's body, it is not at all he wants to give up his job can give up his job.
After all, although it is usually said that the earth turns without anyone, but it can not be denied that there are always some people who have a great impact on this world.
Some are once gone, not to mention the world, even the people around him are not necessarily aware.
But once some people are gone. It may be an exaggeration to say that the world is in turmoil, but it is not too much to say that it will change the course of history.
It's like Mongo Khan who died in Diaoyu City.
If Meng hadn't died so suddenly, I don't think the split of the Mongols would have come so quickly.
The ending of the story will not necessarily be changed but the development of the story will definitely be delayed.
Now Rope is even more important to this world.
Because Rope is the savior that this world has moved in. The so-called saviors were given professional names because of their professional characteristics.
Whitley walked over to Rope's side and leaned in next to Rope, lying down likewise.
She didn't know exactly what Rope had gone through during those ten minutes they were there. But figured it wouldn't be one of Rope's favorite parts of the story.
And while Rope and Whitley rested a bit, Lucian, who had gotten Rotom's email, sort of numbed his paws.
A Champion Superior Wailord, or a Wailord that has absorbed the power of a god is being offended by a group of people who have been paid by a high ranking official in Wet Plains to do such a thing, and just thinking about it gives you an idea of how much of a headache this kind of thing can be.
What's more...it's not just a Champion Wailord over there right now...they all know how powerful Hoopa is when he gets really pissed off.
Rope was able to deal with Hoopa's Evil Thoughts, which is Hoopa's Dark Attribute, but that doesn't mean he can deal with a fully liberated Hoopa...and according to Rope, Hoopa seems to have been strengthened by the Epic Level. The two states of the current Liberated Hoopa and Punished Hoopa weren't a difference in strength, just a difference in attributes...
Lucian rubbed his temples while hurriedly calling various organizations to give them orders to hurry up and put a stop to this...before things really got out of hand.
Mind you, Rope's temper was far from good.
"It really is...eventful or there are grasshoppers hopping around in front of us..."
Of course, Lucian's tone wasn't exactly good right now. One didn't even need to think about it to know that there would most certainly be a lot of people who would be out of luck next.
"You're going to have bad luck!!!"
A young girl with a gentle look and simple dress, but who did speak with quite a bit of Hedonism was roaring at a man not far in front of her who was formally dressed with a formulaic smile on his face.
"Suzuna-sama isn't quite right to say that. We're all reasonably and legally fair with each other, so where's the bad luck in that?"
The man's smile could not be said to be sincere, it could only be said to be hypocritical to the extreme. The smile on his face was clearly a falsehood done on purpose.
Suzuna looked at the smiling face of this asshole in front of him and couldn't wait to punch him hard in the face, letting him know what it meant to be unlucky.
Behind the two people, on one side were the villagers of Village of Water, while on the other side was a group of gangster-like people, and both parties were followed by a single Pokémon.
It was just that the side the man was on clearly looked a lot stronger than the Pokémon of the villagers of Village of Water.
After all, even if Dark-type Pokémon were far from strong in deed combat, they did look fierce and didn't want to be good Pokémon.
And in mid-air, Hoopa just floated where he was, looking on coldly at these things.
Honestly what was going on here didn't have much to do with him. But he felt like he still had to be in charge. After all Sennogi was kind of one of his own. And the way the other party was coming on strong really irritated him. How long had it been since he had seen such an arrogant human?
Hoopa himself could barely remember.
The last one who was this arrogant was actually Rope, only because Rope's arrogance was very capitalized. So Hoopa wouldn't take him into consideration.
Wasn't it normal for someone he couldn't beat to be infinitely arrogant in front of him?
Still, Hoopa looked towards the large lake not far away.
Luckily there was still a large lake here, so it wasn't like Kujira was always bored in Pokéball. And the Pokémon Hoopa and Sennogi had brought this time were enough to add to the already abundant Pokémon resources here.
The point is that all of these Pokémon have great talent, and everyone here could have a bunch of quality Water-type Pokémon to take in as well.
But then again, it might also be the abundant low-grade, high-gifted Pokémon resources here that made the land here receive coveted by others.
After all, compared to the so-called land, resources like Pokémon were obviously more important.
Hoopa didn't know why Sennogi hadn't stepped in, obviously if she and Kujira were together, the problem here would be able to end easily. Once the two of them were together, it wasn't some tacit understanding between trainer and Pokémon before.
Instead, it was a meeting of the minds of two Champion-level Pokémon...
