"You okay?" Gia asked me as we went out for a walk.
Honestly I wasn't since I barely slept." I'm fine just had a rough night..."
" When we get back I'll give you a herbal tea.."
I considered leaving. No way was I going to spend another night with Xavier. Not after his little stunt. Why did he do it ? And why was I craving him?! Shit this had to be lust.
We got back to the palace and I was relieved to see Austin by the door. I smiled and walked up to him.
" Are we leaving?" I asked almost in a whispher for Gia not to hear me. He nodded and my smile grew wider.
" You're leaving aren't you?" Gia asked Austin and he nodded. She sighed and I turned to look at her. It was sad leaving her but the thought of another night with Xavier was driving me insane.
" I promise I'll visit..."
" You better..."
Gia hugged me and soon Serona stepped out to see me off.
" I'm glad to have met you..." Serona said." If that douche bag of my son hurts you, come to mom I'll handle him..."
I laughed " I will mom ..." Serona felt like a second mother to me and I wished that this relationship would be built on different circumstances.

" Jessica!" Lilly said as she matched in the hallway soon after I arrived. I smiled and hugged her .
" So good to see you..." I said as Austin left us.
" So how was Dyran , the place you visited..."
" Good. Interesting!" I said. " Chloe!" I asked and Lilly sighed as she shook her head.
" His Majesty broke off the engagement..." Lilly said and my mouth dropped open in utter shock.
Why on earth would he do that ? Gosh this man!
" Where's Chloe now?"
" Here!"
We both faced the voice and saw Chloe standing there. Lilly excused herself and I walked towards Chloe and wrapped my hands around her and hugged her.
" I'll talk to him..." I said.
" Don't. I asked him to do it..."
I looked at Chloe in utter confusion. Why would she do that?
We walked to the garden and took a sit at the bench so that she could explain. Chloe stated she never liked Xavier and only did it for her mother.
" My mother wants me to marry into royal bloods but I really have no interest..." Chloe said. " Xavier is just a close friend..."
I listened as she spoke. I judged things way to early and didn't know if Chloe really liked Xavier. Poor Xavier must be heartbroken.
" Am fine ..." Chloe said." Mom suddenly said I was free to do as I like ..."
" She suddenly had a change of heart..." It didn't sound like lady Mari at all. All of a sudden . Had something happened.
Chloe took a deep breath as if a weight had been lifted of her shoulder. She was relieved but Xavier was utterly destroyed. That is why he didn't want to engage with me . He needed time to heal and couldn't get over her.
" So any interest ..." I said bumping a shoulder with Chloe.
" Well your bodyguard is cute ..." Chloe said.
" Who? Austin?" I laughed as Chloe shrugged. " So you like Austin !"
Chloe laughed. " Well no I don't. I just find him good looking nothing more..."
Thinking of it the two would kill each other if given a chance. Austin was calm unlike Chloe . Plus both wanted to be in power and had competitive spirit.
" What about you and Xavier..."
" What about us!" I said completely ignoring her suspicious gaze and looks.
" I see the way you look at him . You want him..."
I rolled my eyes " What No?!"
Chloe stood up abruptly and looked at my flashed cheeks .
" Oh my God I'm so right..." She said walking around me. "I bet you've thought of him severally and not in such an appropriate manner..."
I giggled. She was so fucking right. Goodness Xavier was all I thought about ever since the lake.
" Why are you shy he is you husband and sooner or later the kingdom will expect an heir..."
My eyes almost popped out of their sockets at her words. I grabbed her wrist and sat her back on the bench.
" Not happening...." No way was I having his kid. Much less a guy hang up on another girl. " I just find the guy attractive..."
That I wasn't lying. The guy looked like he was sculpted by the gods . Of course any woman with hormones would find him attractive. Hell even guys may fall for his devilishly good looks. He was the definition of looks could kill. His eyes were captivating and the silver streak in them left you in a trance.
" That's all..."
" That's all..." I repeated her words to emphasize the fact I had no feelings for the guy.
