Unexpected kiss

Dina's lips curled into a mischievous smirk.

She leaned in just a bit, enough to make it obvious that she was enjoying this way more than she should. "I don't know," she teased, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "Do I?"

Gon let out a tired sigh, rubbing the back of his neck as his patience finally ran out.

This conversation was going nowhere, and Dina was clearly enjoying dragging it out.

Without another word, he turned on his heel, ready to walk away.

But the moment he moved, he heard it—

"Wait!"

Dina's voice came out quicker than she intended, sharp and urgent, like she hadn't even thought before speaking.

Gon came to an abrupt halt, his boots pressing firmly against the dirt path beneath him.

The silence that followed felt almost deafening, the distant chirping of birds and the whispering wind through the trees doing little to soften the tension now crackling in the air.
