Cades stood still.

He raised his sword high, seeing the silver drops flowing off of the now shining blade, something that had only happened after he had struck the beasts down, and something he found quite interesting to've happened after he had bathed the blade in the liquid that these beings had been created out off.

It was more so visual, but he was still reminiscing in this battle, he was still remembering how his blade had entered the throat, the neck, of his opponent, unprotected as could be, and had purged through the flesh, coming out on the other side and causing blood to stream out of the relatively clean wound as soon as he took his blade out, blood that soon turned into the entire being falling into pieces, big chunks of the liquid turning into just that, a liquid, a viscous one, but still a liquid nevertheless, a glowing liquid, but nevertheless still just that.

The battle was hard, not because the opponents were skilled or more powerful, or even equally as powerful as Cades, no, they were actually both a bit weaker than him, though barely so, more so than anything, it was difficult to fight against them due to the fact that they appeared in front and behind him, and added on top of that they had varying weapons, eh was restrained in multiple important abilities, and he had no idea what happened to the terrain.

However, now that it was all over, now that the battle had been won, he could feel his sight returning, his sight of the terrain at least, be it that he still couldn't use his eyes due to the sheer brightness in this place, he was still able to sense where everything was now, and what he saw was definitely not good for him.

He had been standing uncomfortably close to the railing, so much so that even one more step backwards could've even ended with him falling off of the relatively low railing, turning his own back and spiralling into the endless abyss illuminated less than the endless abyss above him, both things Cades didn't even want to begin imagining falling into, or, he guessed, rising into.

And yet, he felt a call, a need to climb upwards, and not the least because that was the only way he could see to get out of here right now the only way was up, in quite a literal sense he had arrived at his lowest, and now, there was only room upwards, and he was going to have to use that room to reach the top of the tower that now seemed like an endless wall extending endlessly into the sky, scratching non-existent clouds as if it was their scratcher.

But Cades wasn't even certain if he would be able to climb this thing, perhaps he would be able to use his sword and his dagger that was still safely put onto his belt, but that would just result in hti needlessly big being noticing him, or at least Cades assumed as much, due to the sheer fact of the matter that the skin of this monstrous being seemed to be as big and build as that of a normal ehetrian, including, theoretically, the pain receptors, admittedly, it would be quite the bad design for biological beings, seeing as the signal of the pain would take quite some time to reach wherever the brain might be, but he was still certain that hurting this beast, if that could even be called hurting, was not the way to climb up, lest he wished to face more such beasts as he had fought until now, and perhaps not even on a horizontal location, but instead on that very tower he was now so intend on climbing up.

He wasn't even certain as to why his entire being wished to climb this tower, well, as to why he wished to climb this tower, after all, eh couldn't think about why he wished to do so, or how he would be able to do so, or the consequences of those possibilities if there was nothing left inside of him that didn't wish to climb this monstrous behemoth.

But he knew that there was one, very obvious choice, for which he knew he should be able to climb this endless wall, this endless snake, this endless tower, this endless whatever it might be, this thing, it would have to be walked, not climbed, and he knew of one certain way as to how he would be able to walk on horizontal 'floors', or rather, walls, or, well, that didn't matter.

All that mattered was that he had already used this active quite often, but never for it's intended purpose, or at least, he had never used it for the purpose he had originally thought it to be meant for, the purpose of climbing walls as a spider, the being he had claimed the active from, would, the purpose of sticking to walls and easily walking ahead onto the sky, or wherever he might wish to walk, the purpose of the steadfast active, formerly known as the sticking steps active, both names he wasn't really too big a fan of.

He, not knowing how to really do it, just trusted his guts, be it that right now they wanted to both eat and throw up whatever might be remaining inside of them, a peculiar feeling, and put his foot onto the horizontal wall he would now have to climb, the worst part ow which, at least for Cades, was the sheer duration of which he would have to take to climb this endless thing, perhaps another trial for his patience, a thin string that was already about to break, something he was quite certain the other Cades would perhaps be more adapt at.

Luckily for him, this was the right thing to do.

He activated the active, and put the other leg onto the wall, feeling the gravity trying to pull him down, however, not into the direction one might expect, instead, it was pulling him towards the floor, gravity shifting as soon as the active realized what he was trying to do, be it only his mind from what he could tell.
