Fight For Love

Daniella's POV

While Dominic was having a private conversation with his parents, I was left alone in the living room. I could feel someone watching me, intently, like I was an object at an auction.

It was the man who had hugged Dominic so warmly earlier. From what I gathered, he must be Dominic's cousin, since I knew Dominic was an only child. His sharp gaze moved from my head to my toes, appraising me with an almost irritating smirk.

Finally, he broke the silence. "So, you know Dominic is a werewolf, and you still love him?"

I snapped my head toward him, my anger rising at his audacity. "I don't think we're close enough for me to answer such a personal question. I don't even know your name."

He looked taken aback for a second before bursting into laughter. "Okay, fair enough. My bad. Let's start over." He extended his hand toward me. "I'm Antoni, Dominic's cousin."

I shook his hand firmly, holding his gaze. "Daniella. Lawyer."

He raised an eyebrow, his grip lingering a bit too long. "Interesting introduction. Why didn't you introduce yourself as Luna or Dominic's mate?"

I pulled my hand back and crossed my arms. "Why should I define myself through Dominic? He has his own titles and identity, and I have mine. I stand by my own achievements."

Antoni chuckled darkly, leaning back in his chair. "With that attitude, you're bound to be a big problem for Dominic."

My eyes narrowed. "What do you mean by that?"

He shrugged, his tone turning almost mocking. "In our world, women like you, independent, outspoke, they don't exactly fit in. Eva, for example, would be a much better choice for my Uncle, Alpha Jenson and Aunt Luna Martha. You'd better watch your back. Once Dominic finishes talking with them, you might find yourself... let's say, replaced. Eva as Luna, you as the discarded mate."

His smug smile made my blood boil, and I was ready to fire back when Dominic's voice thundered from the doorway.

"Enough, Antoni! Everything you've said is wrong. Daniella is my mate, and she will be Luna. No one can change that."

Antoni rolled his eyes as he stood, brushing imaginary dust off his shirt. "Okay, Dom, let's see how well your human mate fits into pack life. She can't even bow according to rank. You're a fool for thinking this will work." His words dripped with disdain as he walked past me, leaving the room without looking back.

Dominic closed the distance between us in a few quick strides, his expression softening as he reached for my hand. "I'm sorry, my dear. Antoni has always been a pain, but he's worse now because he knows I've found my mate."

His touch was warm, reassuring, but his words unsettled me. "Let's go to our room. I'll tell you everything," he said gently.

I blinked, caught off guard. "I'm sleeping in your room?"

"Of course," he replied, his voice firm but tender. "I won't let you stay anywhere else but by my side."

I hesitated. "But... your parents, especially your father, they don't seem like me."

Dominic's grip tightened around my hand as he looked me straight in the eye. "I don't care what anyone thinks, Daniella. I will fight for you, for us. But I need to know if you'll fight with me. Will you?"

Dominic's question hung in the air, heavy with emotion. Will you fight with me?

I felt my brow furrow as I heard over his words, and from the corner of my eye, I caught the flicker of sadness in his gaze. He was trying so hard to hide it, but I saw it. My heart clenched, and I quickly offered him a small, reassuring smile.

"Alpha...." I began, but he interrupted me, his tone firm yet gentle.

"Call me Dominic."

"Dominic…" I said hesitantly, still trying to adjust to calling him by his real name. "It feels strange saying your name like this because, for almost two week, I only knew you as Alpha, not Dominic. So, asking me whether I'm willing to fight for our love, to be accepted by your parents and your pack, it's something I can't answer right now."

His face fell slightly, but he didn't look away.

"I'm a lawyer, Dominic. I've been trained to gather evidence, to assess facts, and to look at all angles before I make a case or take a stand. I can't just blindly promise to fight for us. I need to understand what I'm up against. What if I can't adapt to life here? What if the pack never accepts me? What if I become a burden and hold you back from being the leader you're destined to be?"

I reached out and held his hand, intertwining our fingers. "So please, give me a week. Let me learn about your world, your people, and your way of life. Let me experience it all, the things I didn't believe in before. And let me decide not just if I can fit in here, but also if I'm the right person for you. Can I do that?"

Dominic stared at me for a moment before pulling me into a tight embrace. His voice was soft but carried a promise as he whispered in my ear, "Of course, my dear. That's exactly why I brought you here. I just… I was afraid you wouldn't even give it a chance. That you'd see how my parents and Antoni look at you and decide to leave before we even tried."

I leaned into his warmth, feeling the sincerity of his words.

"If you're willing to spend the week here, to see what life in Blue Moon Pack is like, I'll be so happy. At the end of it, I'll respect your decision."

I pulled back slightly to look into his eyes, the raw vulnerability there making my own throat tighten. "And if I decide I can't live here as your Luna?"

His lips twitched into a mischievous grin. "Not going to happen. I'll do everything in my power to make you fall in love with life here and to make sure you want to stay. I'll fight for you, Daniella. You'll see."

"So confident," I teased, wrapping my arms around his waist.

" Of course and I'll start my fight for us right now," he said with a determined glint in his eyes. Without waiting for my response, he scooped me up bridal style, holding me securely as though he never wanted to let go. He carried me up to his room on the top floor of the pack house, ignoring the respectful bows of the omegas we passed. His room was vast, painted in deep forest green, a color that matched his intensity. he space exuding a quiet strength that was so very him. He laid me gently on the bed, his gaze filled with a mix of love and longing.

Dominic gently laid me down on the massive bed, his gaze filled with a mixture of tenderness and desire. "This, Daniella, is my first step in proving how much I want you here, how much I need you to stay," he whispered, leaning down to press his lips to mine, the world outside melted away.

We made love with a passion that left me breathless. Every kiss, every touch , every stroke that Dominic did to my body was an unspoken promise like a silent vow to show me that I belonged in his world, not just as his mate but as his equal, his partner in life.

When we reached the height of our shared bliss, we called out each other's names, our connection deeper than ever before.

"I love you, Daniella," he whispered, breathless yet resolute.

"I love you too, Dominic," I replied, my heart full of emotions I couldn't yet describe.
