Dominic POV
As I sat in my office, the events of the previous night replayed in my mind. During our video call, Daniella's smile had been warm and genuine, and I found myself smiling back, cherishing the connection we shared. But before I could fully savor the memory, a knock at my office door pulled me back to the present.
Nick entered, and beside him stood Eva, her head bowed, eyes red and swollen from recent tears. I studied her, my brow furrowed, grappling with the question of what had driven her to such desperation. Poisoning herself and Daniella, what if Daniella hadn't survived? Eva would be branded a murderer, banished from the pack, forced into a rogue existence. Did she truly believe that eliminating Daniella would clear her path to becoming my Luna? But I couldn't make her my Luna, I didn't love her, and she wasn't my mate.
