In the final judgment, Alex received a death sentence, while Sandy was given seven years behind bars for conspiring to commit murder.

As the verdict was announced, Ethan found himself alone on the street where my life had been taken.

"Yolanda, those who wronged you have been punished. Does this bring you peace?" he asked.

I silently disagreed, finding no solace in their fate.

"Yolanda, did you know? I fell for you when you began following me each day. You were my guiding light, always illuminating my path. I failed to treasure you, causing pain to both you and our baby."

Ethan settled beneath a tree, sipping from a bottle.

Suddenly, a streak of light crossed the heavens, as if beckoning me.

Just as I prepared to depart, Ethan unexpectedly grasped my hand.

"Yolanda, is it really you? You've come to see me, haven't you? You still care for me, don't you?"

I wasn't sure if it was the alcohol, but Ethan could suddenly perceive me.
