As dusk fell, the crimson sunset filled our daughter's room.
I pulled my luggage to the living room.
Aiden looked up at me in astonishment.
"I've left the divorce papers on the table. Call me if you have no objections after reading them, and we can go to the City Hall to finalize the divorce," I said coldly.
"No, I won't agree to a divorce. I absolutely refuse." He rushed over and embraced me tightly. "Honey, I love you."
I pushed him away in revulsion. "Don't speak of love. It nauseates me. After the divorce, you can live with Maria forever. Isn't that what you've always wanted?"
"Believe me, I didn't cheat on you."
"It doesn't matter anymore."
"Clare, I've already lost our daughter. I can't lose you too. Please, give me a chance to change. I swear I'll never contact Maria again." He blocked and deleted all of Maria's contact information in front of me.
"It's pointless for you to block and delete her now. The moment our daughter died, I gave up on you."
