099: The Fifth Hokage's Call, Rin's Reunion with Everyone

The next three months passed in peace and quiet for Konoha Village.

Rin puffed out her cheeks, looking adorable even when angry.

"Get ready; we're heading out."

Hearing this, Rin happily jumped up, quickly draping a large cloak over herself to hide her face.

Once they were out the door with Night Star, she curiously asked,

"Where are we going?"

"To the hospital, to visit Might Guy."

Rin's face showed concern.

"What happened to Guy? Was he injured in the last incident?"

"Yeah, but it's not serious. He killed an elite jonin from Kirigakure, but due to overusing the Eight Gates, he needs to rest in bed for about half a year."

"Ah?"

The two arrived at a room in Konoha Hospital.

Night Star smiled in response, then stepped aside to reveal Rin standing behind him.

"But I did bring someone."

Everyone in the room looked at Rin, cloaked in black with her face hidden, with puzzled expressions.

"Who's this?"

Rin reached up to hold her hood, but just as she was about to pull it down, her hand began to tremble uncontrollably.

She really wanted to see her former classmates, to see how they were doing now.

But just like the nervousness one feels when returning home after a long time,

as she was about to meet these old friends, Rin felt an unprecedented level of nervousness.

"It's okay."

At that moment, Night Star softly comforted her, patting her shoulder.

Rin's heart relaxed a bit, and she mustered up the courage to pull down her hood.

As her face was finally revealed, the room fell into silence.

Might Guy's mouth hung open, his jaw seemingly about to hit the floor, as he said in disbelief,

"You... you... you're..."

Rin gave a sweet smile and waved at Might Guy and the others in the room.

"Everyone, long time no see."

Seeing Rin, who had long been dead, now standing before them, Kakashi and Might Guy were stunned.

Kurenai and Yugao, however, were much calmer.

After all, they had already known from the diary that Rin had been reincarnated through Edo Tensei; they just hadn't expected to meet her only today.

"Rin..."

"Kakashi, I never blamed you for what happened back then. Dying at the hands of a comrade rather than causing harm to the village is something I've never regretted."

Hearing this, Kurenai and Yugao's gazes turned to Night Star.

Rin had always had a crush on Night Star, often initiating conversations with him.

However, Night Star is personality, while seemingly amiable, wasn't particularly close to anyone except Obito.

At this moment, Kurenai and Yugao suddenly realized a very serious issue.

Night Star had used Edo Tensei to bring Rin back to the world and was planning to revive her.

Was this just a trump card to deal with Obito...

Or did he have some special feelings for Rin?
