101: Conquer Tsunade, If You Can't Beat Her, Join Her

After recording this passage, Night Star looked towards Might Guy on the bed, observing his deeply despondent expression, and spoke with a smile.

"Don't worry, Guy, I'll find a way to heal your injuries."

"Really!?"

Might Guy's face first lit up with joy, but then his eyes dimmed again, and he smiled bitterly.

"Even Lady Tsunade couldn't heal me. Thank you for your kindness, but I appreciate the sentiment."

Night Star patted Might Guy's shoulder and said softly,

"In your memory, have I ever made a promise that I couldn't keep?"

Might Guy thought about it and realized it was true.

Given Night Star is character, it was impossible for him to make a false promise just to comfort him.

Could it be that...

He really had a way to heal his injuries?

Thinking this, Might Guy's emotions stirred, and he grabbed Night Star is hand, his voice trembling slightly.

"Is there really a way for me to continue being a ninja?"

"Don't worry."

Night Star spoke word by word.

"Your youth won't end here."

After chatting with Might Guy for a while longer, Tsunade and Night Star left the hospital room together.

"Sigh, I'm so tired."

Tsunade wiped the sweat from her forehead, looking utterly exhausted.

"With your chakra reserves, you still feel tired?"

Hearing Night Star is question, Tsunade shot him an annoyed glance.

"What do you know? Chakra isn't the issue. The real burden is facing every injured person, knowing full well that their strength will never return to its peak, yet still having to insist that there's hope. That's what truly weighs me down."

The war with the Cloud and Mist villages had kept the number of wounded in Konoha high.

As the head of the hospital and the most powerful medical ninja in the shinobi world, Tsunade bore a heavy responsibility.

"Want to go grab a drink?"

"A drink?"

Tsunade was clearly surprised that Night Star would invite her for a drink.

"I've been sober for a long time."

"Oh, never mind then."

Seeing Night Star about to turn and leave, Tsunade quickly spoke up.

"Wait, no... having a drink occasionally isn't a big deal."

Night Star turned back, his gaze calm as he looked at Tsunade, and said lightly,

"Shall we go now?"

Tsunade lowered her head and replied in a voice as soft as a mosquito's hum.

"Mm... let's go to my place."

The two left the hospital and made their way to Tsunade's home.

After taking out a few bottles of sake and placing them on the table, Tsunade finally seemed to relax and smiled.

"Shizune will be back in a couple of days. I'll be able to take it easy then."

Night Star filled two cups with sake and pushed one toward Tsunade, asking casually,

"Now that you know the truth about Nawaki's death and the disappearance of the Senju clan, what are your plans? Will you leave Konoha and continue wandering?"

"Well..."

Tsunade picked up her cup and downed it in one go, wiping her mouth with her sleeve in a bold manner.

"I think I'll stay in Konoha."

"Oh, I see."

Night Star responded noncommittally, then also drained his cup.

Gradually, the sun set, and dusk fell.

Tsunade's face, flushed from the alcohol, looked like that of a lovestruck girl.

She leaned close to Night Star, resting her head on his shoulder, her lips near his ear, breathing softly.

"Do you know why I want to stay in Konoha?"

Night Star replied indifferently.

"Waiting for me to resurrect Nawaki so you can leave with your brother?"

"No, even if Nawaki is resurrected, I'll stay here with him."

Tsunade wrapped her arms around Night Star is neck, her face flushed, and said softly,

"I have a strange feeling."

"Maybe you can bring peace to the shinobi world."

Looking at Tsunade's slightly intoxicated state and the glimpse of snow-white skin peeking from her collar, Night Star replied nonchalantly,

"You don't think I'm some kind of 'Child of Prophecy,' do you?"

Tsunade chuckled and teased,

"With your personality, how could you be a Child of Prophecy? You probably don't even care about the Sage of Six Paths."

Then, Tsunade shook her head.

"Never mind, let's not talk about that."

She curled up in Night Star is arms like a kitten, her smooth, milky skin rubbing against him as she whispered,

"How about staying at my place tonight?"

"Sure."

Late at night.

As the female ninjas reading the diary came across a particular sentence, they were all momentarily stunned.

[Tsunade are truly the best.]

The next morning.

[Ding! Mission completed.]

[Reward: Greatly enhanced medical ninjutsu talent.]

Night Star got out of bed, dressed, and looked at Tsunade, still asleep. He thought that last night's taijutsu training had been a bit too intense.

Even someone with Tsunade's stamina had nearly reached her limit.

After expending so much energy, it was only natural for her to sleep a little longer.

Just as Night Star was about to leave, Tsunade suddenly opened her bleary eyes and grabbed his sleeve, speaking in a girlish, pleading tone.

"Stay with me a little longer, okay?"

Seeing the usually strong and noble Tsunade-hime speaking to him in such a way, Night Star couldn't help but soften.

"Alright."

As he sat back down on the bed, Tsunade smiled contentedly, pulled his hand close, and kissed the back of it before drifting back to sleep.

While keeping Tsunade company, Night Star didn't idle. He recorded in his diary:

[Might Guy's physical condition is probably similar to Rock Lee's during the Chunin Exams.]

[The Eight Gates technique itself causes severe damage to the user's body, which is why it's classified as a forbidden technique.]

[Plus, Kisame Hoshigaki isn't an easy opponent to defeat. During the fight, Guy must have taken some external hits as well.]

[In his current state, his body can't withstand intense battles. Otherwise, he'd fall apart from the inside before the enemy could kill him.]

[Even a medical ninja as skilled as Tsunade is powerless against this. It seems I'll need to find a special solution.]

[I still have a lot of the First Hokage's cells I collected from the Root organization.]

[But considering the complexities of human anatomy, I'm no expert in this area.]

[Looks like it's time to pay Orochimaru a visit.]

As the female ninjas of Konoha, including Shizune on the frontlines, read the diary's contents, they fell silent.

Especially Kurenai Yuhi and Yugao Uzuki, who felt a sour ache in their hearts, tears welling up in their eyes.

They had been the ones to meet Night Star first, to become his friends...

So why had Tsunade-sama taken the lead?

Was it because they hadn't been decisive enough?

The two women left their homes and met on the street, each seeing the same loneliness reflected in the other's eyes.

Then, Yugao suddenly came to her senses and smiled.

"Kurenai, there's no need to feel so down. We still have a chance."

"What are you talking about?"

Kurenai sighed, her eyes downcast.

"Are you suggesting we compete with Tsunade-sama? I can't compare to her. She's beautiful, incredibly strong, practically the perfect woman."

Yugao covered her mouth with a light laugh and patted Kurenai's shoulder.

"Who said anything about competing with Tsunade-sama?"

"Then what do you mean..."

"If we can't beat her, we join her."

Kurenai was taken aback, her brows furrowing.

"You don't mean..."

"Exactly."

Yugao admitted it openly.

"Think about it. First, there was that kunoichi named Konan, and now Tsunade-sama. It shows that Night Star doesn't have a one-woman-only policy."

"But..."

Kurenai hesitated, her expression uncertain.

"Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"

"Inappropriate?"

Yugao glanced at her friend.

"Then go marry Asuma and his big beard."

Kurenai shuddered at the mental image, biting her lip.

"So... what should we do?"

Yugao took Kurenai's hand and said gently,

"With the two of us together, do you really think we can't figure something out?"
