Six stared at Thirteen wide eyed. She was right, every time a Seeker died, they would all get a message but this time they hadn't. They had been here for close to fifteen minutes and Eleven had not resurfaced, there was no way she would survive that long under water but she was alive somehow. That meant that she was in a condition that kept her alive.
He got up immediately and went back to the others "Hey, all of you, tell me what happened down there"
The three raised their heads and looked at him. To them, he did not look like he was mourning the death of a comrade but someone who had just won a lottery. Fairly speaking, they were not comrades, just people who had just ended up in a strange situation together. No big deal.
"Is something up?" Purple asked.
"Just answer me, what did you all see down there?!"
Red sighed before speaking "Monsters, they were monsters" He said "They had scaly skin and their eyes were mirrors of evil their uneven set set of teeth was another story by themselves and they each held tridents. They also had gills, fins and webbed limbs" He described.
Six thought about it. From the description, they were clearly creatures of the depths, nothing would warrant them to come up to the surface so if Eleven wasn't dead and was still in their possession, then they must have put her in a place that she could survive in, a place with air.
The door that they were searching for was not just a guess. It was actually real.
"We can get out of here" Six said.
"Huh?"
"I said we can get out of here," He repeated "But a lot of risks are going to be involved"
"Elaborate"
Six was quiet for a couple of seconds, thinking of a way to break it to them. He started by saying:
"Eleven is still alive"
The group gave him dark looks "We saw her get impaled with a trident as those things overpowered her. What do you base your conclusion on?" Red asked.
"Well, we haven't heard the voice announce her death, so there can only be two options. First, she's been lying to us about being a Seeker like us which would mean that every person of this world can see these texts and that would shake my belief about the rest of you being Seekers. I find that to be highly unlikely though. Second she's alive and there really is a place where we can survive beneath these waters, she's most likely been taken there and I believe it has something to with freeing the Snow Queen"
"Shake your belief? Have you forgotten that you're the only here who can't prove that you are really a Seeker?" Red said, targeting the wound.
"I don't need to prove it to you, now listen to me" Six snapped "Whatever you saw down here was attracted to you because of the light. Why do I say that? We've been going in and out of that water all this while and they never came at us or maybe even noticed us once, until you went with some light that is. We can safely assume that their eyesight in the water isn't that much than ours, because if they were avoiding us they wouldn't have attacked now"
"So, what are you pointing out?"
"They are the inhabitants of these waters, they have everything about it mapped out in their heads. We don't need to do that too, we just need them to take us to where Eleven is"

"You want to what?"
"Did I stutter?"
"Do you have any idea what might be happening to her right now. You want to be captured?"
"Well, if we don't we might just die here anyway. Pretty sure I wouldn't have it that way" Six said "I'm going to go soon, anyone who wants to follow me can come along, not like I can force you" He added.
With a huff, he turned away from them and went back to Thirteen. This quiet girl was the only one of the group that did not get on his nerves at anytime, although they did not talk much previously so he could not be sure. She seemed lost in thought when he returned and she did not even notice that he was already sitting beside her until her called her.
"Oh, hey"
He wanted to talk to her about his plan. He felt she was the only one who might have been willing to go with him, but it was still too dangerous so she had to make her own decision.
"I'm going to Eleven, are you going to come with me?" He was very direct about it, no time to beat around the bush.
Thirteen glanced at him and asked in her beautiful and calm voice: "Why are you asking me?
"Well... it's your choice"
He could not help but notice that she looked indifferent about it. Was she not the sweet, shy girl he always imagined her to be or were she and Eleven just not close enough for her to care. She did say that she was waiting for Eleven to come back, but did she consider that Eleven might have not been able to come back.
What she felt was none of his business, after all nobody here was trying to be a hero, they were all just trying to survive and get out of this mess, whatever it may be.
He stared at the water not knowing what else to say. It didn't matter, if they weren't going with him he would just finish things by himself. He was no one's, absolutely no one's liability.
He rose to his feet and stood on the edge of the terrace. Taking a look behind, he noticed that Thirteen had been staring at him but turned away the moment their eyes met.
"Well then, see you Thirteen"
She refused to raise her head until she heard the splashing sound as he descended into the water.

Six was focused on the texts in the water he could see them, all bright in their flaming glory, but his environment was still was still dark, that meant that it was still limited to him. He tried it just like Stone had explained, like when one studies for an exam and sees a question and the answer automatically comes to them.
'What the hell? That explanation doesn't even make any sense'
These texts were his only way of attracting the creatures that the others had seen. Even if they were to just flash, just a flash would do.
'Come on, come on, just a flash, just give me another one'
The heavens heard his prayers this time and gave him not one, not two but six flashes and soon, what he expected happened, but not all of it.
The creatures came and even though he couldn't see them well, he could tell that they were not nice-looking. They moved like lightning in the water, not giving him a chance to react to their next move at all.
He had failed to consider that they were very different factors in Eleven's capture and his own. For example, she was a girl and he was a boy, she was tall and he was well... average heighted, she had two hands and he had one. There could have been many reasons why they chose to capture her which he knew nothing of, but it was too late. One of them had already prepared to strike.

As the four Seekers sat in silence and cold, they suddenly heard the voice in their ears. The message which they had prayed to not even hear once.
[A Seeker has returned to The Light. His spirit shall forever be remembered]
