Elias Kael’s life as a chef was supposed to be simple—until an unexpected event leaves him bonded to a mysterious shard and a peculiar being named Dot. Struggling to make sense of his newfound connection, Elias is drawn into a hidden world where people like him are being hunted, their fates intertwined with secrets that stretch far beyond his understanding.
As powerful forces close in, Elias must confront his forgotten past, navigate dangerous alliances, and tap into abilities he never knew he possessed. But as the world shifts around him, the stakes grow higher, and Elias realizes the key to survival lies not only in his own strength but in uncovering the truth behind the shards and the enigmatic forces driving them.
A story of resilience, discovery, and unexpected bonds.
Peak writing; the mysteries and lies unfolding; idk who to trust but each chapter gets better than the last

If any new readers come by; Use this review as a chance to ask any and all questions related to the story. Here are some things you can expect - Romance is present, but it is not the main focus. Instead, the story is more about the strong bonds of loyalty and understanding that develop between characters as they face chaos. This can lead to meaningful relationships that grow naturally, rather than forced or over dramatic. My goal is real relationships • The story is centered on Elias Kael, a chef after hanging up his dreams, who is trying his best to navigate a world in chaos. He's not a natural hero, but he has a strong moral compass and is determined to honor his father's legacy, which makes him relatable since he's often overwhelmed, but never quits. His story is strongly about redemption and second chances at life without the isekai trope. He gets a chance to impact his world and learn about where things went wrong • There's a diverse cast of supporting characters, each with their own dynamics: Elara, a strong military commander with a hidden past and a special connection with Elias; Geras, a figure from Elias’s past who acts like he wants to help but has a hidden agenda; Kikaru, a driven and powerful shard-bearer focused on training; Tid Well, a laid-back shard-bearer who challenges the rules; and Marcus, a tech expert who is always ready with information. and so many more; so everyone will have a chance to have a favorite character • The plot is a fast-paced mix of action, mystery, Adventure with a touch of science fiction. You'll find everything from alien invasions and government secrets to ethical issues surrounding the power of the shards. Expect plenty of twists and turns as the characters navigate a world on the brink of chaos, and many intense combat scenes balanced with character moments. • A unique part of the story is the Ikonas(my favorite part btw) , which are tiny creatures that enhance the powers of the shard-bearers. Each one is different, and the interactions between the characters and their Ikonas add a lot of depth to the story.

This first chapter is intense! 🔥 Captain Dorian Kael is such a badass, fighting those creepy infected things. The author did an amazing job describing the scene, it felt like I was right there with them! So many edge-of-my-seat moments, especially when they reached the lab. Is anyone else hooked in this novel like me?
I wasn't into a system theme, but the author made me. Loved how descriptive his writing skills are! I don't know if it's his writing or my imagination has gotten better, but damn! it didn't feel anything like reading a book. It felt like watching a movie. Hats off to the author for this one!!
This is such a unique novel. You are so talented at writing, making the reader actually see what is happening. I added it to my library and will keep reading, but so far, this is peak. Also Dorian Kael is the goat, will be remembered.
I'm glad I picked this one up, absolutely hooked on this story, right from the first chapter, I was hooked. Even though I've only read a few chapters, it feels like you're there. I'm really enjoying it so far. The writing is fantastic with a perfect mix of mystery, thriller and touching moments that keep you reading. Elias and the others relationship is a highlight, they bring a lot of charm and depth to the story, the characters are great each one feels real and has their own personality. Great work, keep it up!
It's a whole lot! I don't usually venture into this side of fantasy but I'm so glad I gave this a read. The first chapter has you already drawn into the world. The author's flawless description makes you feel like you're an actual observer. So far so good So far my favourite character is the Chairwoman. RIP Dorian Kael you will be missed.
