Sneaking Into the Enemy's Place (1)

Finally, the long wait was over.

The cooldown of Brionac had ended, which meant we could finally return to battle—and earn as much as we could.

"…Well, that was the initial plan, but…"

After our little discussion, we completely changed our objective.

Assassinating King Meyers.

It was a monumental task, but based on our plan, it wasn't as impossible as it initially sounded. Stages 1, 2, and 3 were feasible enough, posing little risk to us. But stages 4 and 5—the conclusion—were dependent on too many variables.

It could be as easy as stealing candy from a child or as difficult as hitting a bullseye blindfolded from over 400 meters away with a bow. The difficulty depended entirely on how "perfectly" we executed the earlier stages, making every step interconnected.

I shook my head, clearing away the distracting thoughts swirling in my mind.

"But first of all, we need to find where the Eclipse Sovereign is currently."
