Chapter 45: Consequence of the experiment

Upon entering the forest, Kael felt the temperature drop in real time as his skin crawled with fear. A cold sensation ran down his spine, and a tingling shiver spread across his body. It was his body's way of telling him to run. There were terrifying fierce beasts in this forest, but instead of showing fear, Kael merely grinned, his eyes scanning his surroundings.

The stronger the fierce beasts, the better. After all, advancing from the low demigod realm to the middle wasn't something that could be achieved instantly.

Kael crouched down, observing his surroundings with his gaze fixed on the trees.

In this forest, it seemed as if the sunlight was completely blocked by the thick canopy, creating a dark and ominous atmosphere. To make things worse, eerie howls and unsettling sounds echoed from time to time, while the air was filled with a mixture of herbal scents and the metallic tang of blood.

This forest was creepy in the truest sense.
