The next day, right after breakfast, Carl stared at the envelope in his hand, already aware of the envelope's content. He contemplated for a while on changing or leaving it as it was, but being bound by a code of conduct, he left it as it was.
As he walked into the dining room, Evelyn was already letting down her silverware. She picked up a glass of water and drank of its content and before taking a napkin to gracefully wipe her lips. Once she was done, she turned her attention to him.
"Is it here, Carl?" she asked as her eyes went to the envelope in his hand.
"Yes, Madam. The results are available. Here they are," he said and passed the envelope to her. Evelyn took it and opened it immediately. Taking out the white piece of paper inside, her eyes skipped all other information and explanation written on the document as they searched for the final results.
