Kiss Her

They were all lying around, dead! And all the shops were locked with no one in sight.

How, and when did all of that happen? Evelyn wasn't sure.

Perhaps, it was when she was in the carriage with the barbarian. But who killed them all?

She subconsciously glanced at Vlad who was walking beside her. He returned the stare for a fleeting moment before looking away.

Evelyn felt goosebumps raising on her skin. He seemed to be the murderer…

….

On their way back to the castle, Vlad and Evelyn sat inside the carriage while Barak took the reins, and threw the couchman off.

Evelyn wondered why he threw the man off, but she would find out shortly.

Inside the carriage, the silence was suffocating. Evelyn didn't feel comfortable with Vlad in front of her, watching her without blinking.

She wasn't looking at him, but could feel his intense gaze on her. After all, Vlad was obvious with his stare.
