Blind By Truth

Chapter 33

Blind By Truth

Cater sat in his room, his thoughts a tangled mess.

Something wasn't right.

Eric was back.

But something deep inside Cater screamed that it wasn't really him.

If that wasn't Eric, then who was it?

Cater's hands clenched into fists, frustration building inside him. He slammed his hand against the wooden floor, the impact leaving a deep crack in the surface.

He exhaled sharply, his mind racing.

He needed to confirm the truth.

Before he could make a plan, his door creaked open.

At first, he didn't react—he was too lost in his thoughts.

But then, he felt a hand on his shoulder, gently pulling him back to reality.

"Are you okay?"

Cater turned, blinking away his thoughts, to see Alric sitting close to him.

Cater forced a small smile, not wanting to trouble him.

"Yeah," he lied. "I'm fine."
