The entities are taken aback by his unwavering decision, having never encountered a spirit who refuses to escape their troubled past. They warn him about the evil being that now resides in his old body, but that only motivates him. He believed In the saying - to defeat a monster, you have to be twice as monstrous.


Embracing his fate as The Phantom's Gambit, they traverse the shadowy path of retribution, their identities blur, secrets unravel, and the line between savior and monster fades.

This is a tale of darkness and redemption, where justice is a blade, and revenge is the only way forward.

The Phantom’s Gambit

Following the Mage's address, the student leaders of each faction and those that had managed to rank up during the last tournament, were instructed to remain behind, a privilege typically reserved for those of higher rank.

It was a first for Otto as well as his members, who had never been summoned for a private audience with the Mages due to his humble ranking.

His frown deepened, however, as he noticed that the leaders from the other faction, despite lacking A or B rankings, or C and D like himself, were also requested to stay. The apparent discrepancy in treatment only served to further pique Otto's irritation.

As the crowd of students dispersed, the room grew quieter, with only the soft murmur of conversations between the council members and the students. Void groaned inwardly, his plans foiled once again.
