Ava, seemingly having a change of heart overnight, had agreed to teach me how to defend myself, but made it clear that she wouldn't be following me on my perilous quest.

As the moon cast its silvery glow over the darkened landscape, Ava guided me through a series of intricate exercises and ancient incantations. I was resolute in my determination to learn, to harness the hidden forces that coursed through my veins. But as the hours ticked by, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was getting nowhere.

Despite my best efforts, I struggled to conjure even the slightest spark of magic. My Vampire powers, inherited from my mysterious lineage, remained elusive, refusing to be coaxed out of their hiding place. Frustration mounted within me as the night wore on, and I began to wonder if I was truly cut out for this world of magic and monsters.
