Re: Vacation Trip - Part 10

"Seriously, what did you do, Jeff?"

"Jess is glaring daggers at you."

"Did I do something she didn't like?"

—"So you two really did it, huh?"—

"Shut up, bastards."

At the evening buffet, prepared by the resort hotel they were staying at, Jeff sat with Kris and Marc, stuffing himself with as much meat as he could handle. Meanwhile, Jess sat with her friends, Mina and Mira, glaring at Jeff without even touching her food.

Of course, Jeff was concerned about what Jess might be thinking.

Is she mad?

Why is she glaring at me like she wants to kill me?

Didn't she like what we did?

Did she not feel good at all?

What did I do to piss her off?

As Jeff spiraled into overthinking, he continued devouring the delicious meat he'd piled onto his plate. After all, free meals should be enjoyed to the fullest.

Jess, on the other hand, was pissed at Jeff—not just because he kept eating as if nothing was wrong, but for an entirely different reason.

---

Jess had woken up just after sunset. And even though she felt surprisingly refreshed, the sudden realization that she was alone in her room, with no sign of Jeff, made her anxious.

What if Jeff did something more to me after I fell asleep?

Did he take advantage of the situation and… take my virginity?

Did we already have sex without me even knowing?

What does it even feel like the first time?

Is that all he wanted after all?

What if he starts ignoring me again?

As Jess overthought everything, still naked beneath the covers, her body trembled with fear. Tears welled up in her eyes as anxiety weighed heavily on her chest.

But before she could cry, she noticed her smartphone vibrating on the nightstand, its notification light blinking.

Picking it up, Jess saw a message that made her freeze, then slowly smile.

It wasn't just any message from Jeff—it picked up right where their conversation had ended four years ago.

At that moment, Jess finally let her tears fall. Not from sadness, but happiness.

Still, she was far from done being mad at Jeff. He have the nerve to left her alone after everything they'd done—after everything she had done for him.

---

Later, at the end of the buffet, Jess approached Jeff, who was struggling to stand from his chair thanks to overeating.

"Don't you dare ignore me, perv. We need to talk."

Kris and Marc bailed immediately, pretending they didn't even know Jeff as Jess grabbed him by the collar of his white jacket and dragged him out toward the beach.

Jess wore a short, white slip dress—questionably thin attire for the cool beach night, but Jeff had no complaints.

How could he complain, when he was busy admiring the sight of her slender figure? Her long legs, slim waist, shapely curves, exposed shoulders and arms, her delicate nape peeking from beneath her long, fragrant black hair—and especially, her breasts subtly outlined by the dress.

Jeff could barely keep himself composed. His desire to touch her only grew stronger with every glance.

Once they reached the beach, Jess tossed the jacket she'd been holding straight into Jeff's face.

It was the matching pair to the one he was wearing—the same jacket he had gifted her on her birthday, the one she had worn that very morning at the start of their trip.

With his face still covered, unable to see what was coming—BAM!—Jess punched him square in the gut, making him fall to his knees in the sand.

"Argh!..."

Jeff felt like he was about to vomit but managed to hold it in. No way was he going to waste all that meat.

Writhing in the sand, he looked up at Jess, demanding an explanation.

"What was that for, Jess?"

"That's for leaving me alone after doing all those things to me!"

Some bystanders witnessed the scene and overheard Jess's angry—but incredibly misleading—words. Thankfully, most chose to ignore it, chalking it up to a lovers' quarrel.

"But you said you didn't want your friends to see us having s—"

Jeff had tried to explain, even planning to tease her a little, but before he could say the word "sex," Jess punched him in the gut again.

He hit the sand again, but somehow still held his dinner in.

Meanwhile, Jess's face and ears were bright red, burning with embarrassment.

"Did you… did we… did it… s—ex…"

Her voice stuttered with each word as she finally asked the question that had been tormenting her all evening.

She didn't feel any pain or discomfort, nothing that might indicate her virginity was gone.

So maybe Jeff hadn't done anything. Maybe he didn't do it. Jess thought.

Still, even if she didn't exactly hate the idea of doing it with Jeff, she would've preferred it to happen while she was awake—especially for her first time.

Then there was the bloodstain on the bed sheets. She wasn't sure if it was from losing her virginity or from Jeff's nosebleed when she punched him earlier.

As Jess stood deep in thought, Jeff finally managed to get back on his feet.

Seeing her confused expression, he stepped closer and gently embraced her, holding her tight.

"Didn't I say I wouldn't do anything you wouldn't like?" he whispered softly in her ear.

Even though the idea of doing it with Jeff wasn't something she'd dislike, Jess melted into his embrace, wrapping her arms around him and burying her face in his chest.

"But you weren't there when I woke up," she said in a trembling voice, like she was about to cry again.

Jeff had only been trying to respect her request—she didn't want her friends to see them in bed together. He even left a message saying he'd wait for her at the buffet.

Still, now wasn't the time for excuses. What mattered most was that he had broken his promise. Intentional or not, he'd done something she didn't like.

Tightening his embrace, silently promising not to leave her again, Jeff whispered with guilt in his voice:

"I'm sorry, Jess. Please forgive me for being such an idiot."

His voice was filled with sorrow and regret. Hearing it, Jess's heart softened. As much as she hated it, she couldn't stay mad at him.

"You better make up for it, idiot."

"Then, do you want to go on a date tonight, Jess?"
