Kids? No! Worse!

But wouldn't pushing him away hurt his feelings?

Merlin was conflicted as he really did not understand how to react to his predicament.

Thus he kept his arms awkwardly in the middle of the air.

"Vernon. What do you think you are doing? You are making Brother Merlin feel awkward. Can't you see?" They did not notice when, but Helena had returned and started scolding Vernon while she pulled the man away from Merlin, trying to rescue the latter.

Merlin sighed in relief, seeing someone come to his rescue. He even gave her a smile of gratitude.

"Ahh!!" Just as he felt thankful, he felt pain from the back of his head. "What are you doing?" He asked Vernon.

"Brother Merlin, I am sorry but my watch is stuck in your hair. I can't get it out," Vernon's voice was heard right beside his ears.

Merlin closed his eyes. 'What bad luck!' He lamented to himself but did not say anything out loud.
