Lian barely had time to react.
The other Lian was on him before he could even raise his guard.
A punch struck his stomach with crushing force. The impact was so intense that he felt his bones tremble, the air ripped from his lungs. His body was thrown back, sliding across the dark ground of the void around him.
He tried to get up, but his reflexes were too slow.
Before he could regain his breath, a brutal kick hit his face, sending him crashing down again. His vision flickered, pain radiating through his entire body.
Lian spat blood, his mind struggling to process the insane speed of his opponent.
His other self laughed.
"Is that all?"
Lian gritted his teeth, forcing himself to rise. His shadows flickered around him, responding to his determination. He raised his fists, preparing to attack.
But the other Lian was already moving.
