Job Description

The new base was actually close to the size of Luca's cabin and wasn't even that bad in the eyes of the money-grubber.

But why did they even need a base?

"Brother, why did we have to pay so much to get a base? Aren't we still students?" Luca had to ask Ollie, who once told him about the concept of mercenary guilds.

"Yeah, but most students who pass the exams are actually good enough to be in active service. So the classes wouldn't be enough and can't give practical experience."

Theoretical knowledge can only get soldiers so far. After that, they need to be exposed to as many situations as possible to grow.

"It's why many rely on their mission hours. And to get missions, sometimes the guilds end up with private clients who would go to their bases for a discussion."

Oh.

Oh no.

"Clients? We'll have clients?" Luca suddenly realized why the others got suitable bases.
