Arc 2: Chapter 2

Brand was startled by her sudden outburst. He understood that she hated him for what he had done, but he stubbornly believed that she still loved him. So, he merely wore a troubled expression and didn't scold her further. He turned around to find Myla looking at him with a wronged expression. He felt guilty and decided to pamper her tonight.

"Let's go," he said, helping Myla up and leading her out while adding a bit of magic to his voice to activate Sevianna's collar.

Sevianna felt a force compelling her to follow Brand's order, and she bit her lip in anger. She had to find a way to remove the collar sooner or later, or she would die from the internal torment. She followed him reluctantly and unwillingly placed the book back on the shelf. Despite her fall, she still retained some of her justice-seeking beliefs and wasn't inclined to steal.

Sevianna: 'The original is actually still kindhearted even after she fell. Brand's orders were simply brutal, causing her to grow numb to them.'

Lily: 'She is a bit like you~'

Sevianna: 'How so??'

Lily: 'Hehe, secret~'

Sevianna: 'Oh? You're keeping secrets from me now?' *pinches cheeks*

Lily: 'Waym sowwyy~'

While Sevianna was "playing" around with Lily, the party made their way to the Colosseum in three carriages. At first, there had only been two since there were only six of them in total, and each carriage could accommodate four people. But no one wanted to sit with Sevianna, the fallen angel, so they bought another one.

The party consisted of Brand and Diffei, the two adventurers; Myla and Sheena, the magicians; and Kinma, the female knight. One man and four beauties.

Sevianna had no qualms with harems, but she refused to include herself in this one. She vowed to belong to only one man—and that man was not Brand.

She actually found herself somewhat grateful for having the carriage all to herself. At least she wouldn't have to continuously restrain her anger and risk dying in the process.

The Colosseum was packed with all types of people. Even the top floor, where the VIPs were situated, was crowded. Who knew what kind of powerful figures were hidden away in those rooms?

When the showdown began, Brand's party was positioned in the center. The five girls surrounding him instantly sent the audience into a frenzy—either because of their beauty, or perhaps simply because they were horny.

Sevianna watched the entire spectacle with dull eyes. Even when the fighting began—purely to their disadvantage, almost like bullying, as all the other factions came at them at once—she remained still. It seemed Brand's opponents had really depleted quite a lot of resources just for this one clean and legal chance to kill him.

The audience was confused by this little girl. Was she just waiting to be slaughtered? Their excitement suddenly began to wane.

Brand and the girls exerted all their strength to defend and counterattack. Only when someone focused on Sheena, who was supporting the party as a healer, did Brand finally notice Sevianna's stillness. "Sevianna!" He was vexed and intentionally activated the collar again.

Sevianna felt the familiar pain in her neck, and her dull eyes coldly glanced at him. How she longed to rip him to shreds. Then she glanced at all the people putting their lives on the line to kill the potential protagonist of this world. She could vent her anger on them, couldn't she?

It was as though the scenes before her movement were merely the prelude. She vanished from her spot and reappeared right in front of the brutes heading toward Sheena. With a swift motion, she sliced their heads off.

Sevianna's magic was not offensive, but her physical strength had increased dramatically after her fall. She used that newfound power as her means of offense instead.

The crowd was suddenly engulfed in silence. Even the fighters paused, their eyes wide with shock.

Everyone knew it was fatal to stop moving in a gladiator fight. Sevianna made that point clear as she swiftly sliced off the heads of those who were too slow to regain their senses. Well, even if they did manage to react, their heads would still be on the floor.

The last person standing was actually stronger than Brand. Sevianna toyed with him for a few minutes before binding him in place. Then, she plunged her hand into his chest and ripped out his heart.

The audience gasped in horror. Who was this brutal girl?! It was unthinkable for someone so cute to be this cruel!

A deafening roar suddenly shook the entire Colosseum.

Since Sevianna was under Brand's party and, as his slave, all her achievements were handed to him on a silver platter. The showdown ended just like that.

An annihilation by a little girl in a gothic lolita outfit. Those who received the news were struck dumb. Excuse me??

Brand's party had already left the stage, but the audience's roars continued to echo.

"Sevianna! Why didn't you help earlier?!" Myla stopped in front of her, yelling.

Sevianna coldly glanced at her. This girl always seemed to find ways to oppose her.

"That's right. We're a team. Why did you have to wait for Brand's orders?" Kinma added in distaste. She had suffered heavily in the showdown and was envious of Sevianna's strength. For her, as a knight, it was humiliating to be outdone by a girl who looked like she couldn't even lift a sword.

"Slut. She just wanted his attention!" Diffei chimed in, fuming that Sevianna had taken the glory—even though it didn't mean much since it was all ultimately credited to Brand.

Sheena remained silent. Though she was somewhat upset, she recognized that Sevianna had saved her.

Brand had also kept quiet. Sevianna was becoming more and more uncontrollable. If it weren't for the collar, she probably wouldn't have acted at all.

Brand was right. Sevianna didn't care, but the collar had forced her hand.

Sevianna watched them coldly, a mocking smile curling her lips as if she were watching a group of clowns. Then, her gaze shifted to Brand. "Like I said, they're your responsibility." Without another word, she turned and left. She had no interest in stooping so low as to argue with fools.

Lily: 'Sevi~ Can't we kill these bitches? *whines*

Sevianna: 'Brand gave Sevianna an order not to hurt them.'

Lily: 'What!! Since when?!'

Sevianna: 'When the original Sevianna killed one of his women before.'

Sevianna had gone berserk for a year after being enslaved. At that time, Brand's party consisted of seven people, five of them women in his harem. Even the original Sevianna had adamantly refused to be a part of this fool's harem.

One of the girls had taunted Sevianna, claiming she was just a slave with no right to be treated fairly. For Sevianna, who had grown up with a sense of pride, that taunt broke her control. In a blind rage, she killed the girl, leaving behind a deep scar of hate and trauma in the others.

To calm the others' fears, Brand had to give Sevianna an order in front of the group, forbidding her from harming them. Since then, the girls had grown bolder, taunting Sevianna about her slavery, as if they'd forgotten the lesson from the first incident.

Sevianna walked absentmindedly toward the back of the Colosseum, her thoughts clouded. She still knew nothing about the red thread or the golden thread that intertwined with her soul. And now, the red thread was still invisible—

Wait. It wasn't! Sevianna's eyes widened, and her aura shifted. She felt a sudden warmth spread through her, and her entire presence softened. If Brand were here, he would have seen the same Sevianna who had smiled and laughed with him—the gentle angel.

Sevianna carefully caressed the thread, but in the next second, it flew away. Her heart suddenly plummeted. "Wait!"

She rushed to catch up with it, her heart filled with panic. She was even more horrified when the flying red thread turned sharply at a corner.

There was only the red thread in her vision, and as she turned the same corner, she reached for it.

But the red thread had disappeared into a "wall."

"What?! Wait—w-where? Where is it??" She patted the wall in utter panic, her mind still consumed by the red string.

CoughCoughCough

Loud sounds of choking and coughing filled the air, all because the onlookers couldn't believe their eyes. In their gaze, their prince was being molested by a cute girl! They were suddenly in a dilemma. How should they scold her?

Sevianna's brain finally registered the fits of coughs, and she turned toward the source of the sound, only to find about four people staring at her with a mixture of amusement and incredulity. She then turned to the "wall," which she had to look up at because of how tall it was.

It was a man with long black straight hair and red eyes—eyes that looked at her with amusement, mixed with a hint of laughter. Her hand, still pressed against the "wall," was actually on the man's chest.

For the original Sevianna, who had only ever experienced pure love, this was her first time "molesting" someone. So, despite the fact that she could have handled the situation calmly, she made herself appear panicked. Her face burned bright red as she hastily retracted her naughty claws. But the man caught them in his rough, warm hands.

This time, Sevianna's blush was more genuine. She could feel the familiar warmth of his touch seep into her heart. It confused her greatly that she was stunned silly. And her mind went fuzzy as she stared at him, her cheeks still red.

"Hahaha! Adounis, I think she fell for you!" One of the guys watching the spectacle teased.

Little did he know, his casual remark pleased Adounis greatly. He had seen what this girl was capable of and had been wanting to find her. Who would have thought she would deliver herself to him? What's more...

He gazed at her pale blue eyes, which seemed to twinkle like stars in the night sky, and then at her small stature, which looked as though she would fit perfectly in his lap.

He pinched her chin gently, making her look up at him. "Did anyone ever tell you that you have eyes that look like crystals?" He smiled sweetly as he saw her eyes widen in surprise.

The sounds of choking and coughing erupted once again. This Adounis was flirting?! They were actually seeing Adounis flirt! Wait until they got back home and shared the news. Can you imagine their faces?! The four of them exchanged bewildered glances and reached a consensus—they definitely had to spread this!

Sevianna stood frozen, stunned. 'What did he say?'

She could never forget the events of that day, as it was one of her most memorable moments. It was the night Shen Yan had proposed to her. The words he spoke clung to her mind, even after she had already left that world.

"Yanyan, did you know your eyes look like crystals?"

Sevianna couldn't stop the tears that flowed. She had always placed the red thread at the forefront of her thoughts. Now, seeing it lead to him, and hearing him say something so familiar to what Yan gege had said, did it mean he was her Yan gege?

She no longer had the strength to hold back her defenses and cried on the spot, startling everyone around her and sending them into a panic.

Lily was too late to stop her master from breaking character. She would have to remind her later that she'd used her only chance, or else the world would kick her out if she broke character again. At least now, they knew where the red thread had gone.

Sevianna knew that what she was doing was not in line with the original soul's character. But she couldn't control it. This might be her Yan ge! The man she loved!

She promised herself to be more careful from now on. She wasn't ready to leave this world—not when she had just found someone who might be her Yan gege.
