Her Contract Husband's Thoughtful Consideration

"Not even crumbs were left! Hehe, they even say they'll eat everything you make later."

Ruediger chuckled as he listened to Lariette talking about how her colleagues, including the principal, gushed over his desserts. They had just left the school after handing Bill his portion.

"I'm so honored, you know?" Ruediger said in between his laughter, the glint in his emerald eyes softening, "Seems like they're impressed by Teacher Lariette Elsher's new husband."

"Hehehe," Lariette chuckled, her smile cheeky, "Of course! All of them said I got married to a good man."

Ruediger's smile deepened upon hearing Lariette's exclamation. What she said made him happy enough no matter what the true nature of their marriage was.

"I've made lunch. You shall eat before you rest or something," said Ruediger once they reached the apartment. The air-conditioned lobby helped to chase the scorching summer heat away.
