At the main entrance into the mansion, where the solid protective walls could be seen, running all over the entire territory. This was one of three entrances, one being mostly used than the other with the third's location being known to only a few in the Elmore Family.
Emerging from the darkness of the forest, a black horse with a rider shrouded in the same clothing could be seen. Already prepared to attack as they had long sensed it, thirty-three guards stood there awaiting. The mounted ones had their spears ready to charge, the archers on the walls with their arrows nocked on their bows just needed the order to fire. In all, the captain of this unit had to give the command, yet as one couldn't just attack anyone. He patiently stood before all, unarmed and unmounted with most being footmen having their shields and spears inclined, while the rest could be seen at a sword drawing phase.
"This is the territory of the noble Elmore Family! State your mission!" The captain called out to the slowly approaching figure, his words loud and clear.
However, there was no halt in its tracks as with no hesitation, the guards with spears and shields quickly surrounded them. Forming a circle around and giving no chance of moving forward nor retreating. The captain took a few steps forward before speaking once again, his face void of emotion. "Do not let me repeat myself again. State your mission!"
*CLANK!
A piece of metal fell right before the Captain's feet. Looking down at it, his eyes widened in unbelieve, noticing the blood stains around it. 'Lord Regent's Token?!'
'How?This is blood.' He wondered, his gaze back on the cloaked and hooded figure. 'Who is this person? Did he do something to the Lord Regent and his wife?'
"Arrest him!" The captain ordered. He couldn't believe that someone had taken down the Lord Regent in such a short while. Even having the audacity to show up before them. No matter what this person's mission was, he was nothing but the word 'dangerous' and had to be captured first.
"Wait, what?!" A hand reached from underneath the cloak to the hood, as taking it off the riders face was exposed. "I've been sent here by Vans and Mia."
The riders claim didn't fall on deaf ears, as the spears closer than before almost piercing into his skin drew back with a raise of the Captain's hand. Having picked up the token, he held it from the string around it towards the old man before speaking. "Mind explaining the blood on it?"
The rider was taken aback, soon exhaling deeply as he remembered the people he was dealing with. They were knights, though having enhanced senses, their's weren't tempered like hunters. Another reason why hunter's would always be above these soft life seekers.
"It's beast blood, a hunter could tell the difference. I did encounter some hogs on the way, and had to keep the token on incase I lost my ring." The rider said, yet when looking at the captain he noticed that his words weren't believed in the slightest .
As raising his right hand once again, the rider could tell it was not going to end well for him if this continued. So he had to act fast, and by fast, that meant doing something now.
*SPLASH- SPLAT!
Stretching out his right hand, chunks of bloodied raw meat emerged and dropped down onto the ground. Filling the air with its foul and metallic smell of its blood, strong enough to taste it. The guards around scrunched their faces, pressing on their nose with their hands, unable to stand the smell.
"Ugh, now l've lost a great dinner because of you guys."
"Get that thing out of here!" The captain ordered, backing away with the guards which encircled the rider.
"Alright alright, what a waste." The old man mumbled, a scroll appearing in his hands as opening it up, nothing could be seen on it. Reaching through the cloak to his breast pocket, being large enough to contain the item he needed.
An object was drawn out, one which looked like a feather plucked out from a beast. Holding the feather, he poured his spiritual energy into it causing the tip to light up all the way to the end. Now a bright gold, just like his aura. Meanwhile, the patch around the left eye of the figure could be seen having something bright behind it. As using the feather, he began to scribble away on the scroll. "Hope this is enough proof for you younglings."
Finally done, the runes fresh and active. There was no need to pour anymore energy into it, since dropping it down towards the pile. A portal opened up mid drop, gobbling up the entire pile and even a part of the ground alongside before disappearing. Staring as the entire process unfolded, the horror on their faces could be seen when suddenly it changed to one of spite— they've found out what he was.
"Kill the bloody wizard!" The order was eventually given by the captain, as they had already retreated quite far enough to avoid the arrows. "He doesn't have Witched Scrolls! Riders prepare to charge! Shield Wall Up! Archers Fire!!"
"Knights are always Knights." The old man sighed in disappointment, watching as the Captain barked orders around, setting the guards moving. The archers each added two more steel arrows, making them three on their bows before stretching their strings. Now firing more than two at once, he definitely had a reason to believe the Elmore Family was now stronger than before.
Unable to stretch much further with their normal strengths as spiritualists, the archers manipulated their spiritual energies to their arms. And soon, they had stretched wider than average. After all their arrows were long and strings tough, enabling them to achieve such feats. With arrows released, the twelve archers on the walls had thirty-six projectiles precisely heading towards him.
Watching the arrows approach, almost nearing two and a half meters from him, a burst of golden auraed spiritual energy exploded from him. Sending an energy wave in all directions, and snapping the arrows into two before they fell apart.
Stupefied as they were, their morale had dropped from a million to zero in an instant. None could believe it one bit, had they known, they would have probably gone about it in an entirely different way. How were they supposed to deal with this now? As it proved the person they were about dealing with, was probably truly sent by the Lord Regent. For if it was even otherwise as they thought earlier, how was anyone in the mansion going to match him.
"You– you– you are a Manifestor." The Captain stuttered, trying to get a hold of his trembling body, sweating buckets like the others were. "We– we dee—"
*SWOOSH!
Before he could finish his sentence, the rider had vanished from the horses's back. Now standing right infront of the shield wall which had spears still sticking out of it. The Captain could feel his legs growing weak. He was just a Stage Four Expert Manipulator, not even at the peak to break through to the Channeller Power Level. Yet before him was someone higher than a Channeller. For even in the deepest of his dreams, ever beating one at his current level couldn't support a fantasy.
Taking a step forward, another wave of golden energy detonated from him. Reaching the tip of the spear heads as he was closer, they cracked up turning into mere dust. Dashing forward, the wave destroying every obstacle, his hands stretched out and went for a grab of the Captain who stood close to the shield wall. By the neck, he pulled him out seconds before the wave colliding with the wall and overpowered them. Sending the guards flying with their shields sustaining significant damage, the old slammed the knight heavily on the ground, causing it to rumble.
"May I know which Master has graced the Elmore Mansion with his presence. This humble one begs your mercy for these disrespectful subordinates of mine."
