Chapter 60: A Ghoul Problem and saving some students.

After leaving the farm with his backpack full of spiritual vegetables, Kent wandered deeper into the eerie expanse of the ancient battlefield ruins.

His steps were steady, but his mind wandered. The weight of the ruin's foreboding atmosphere didn't faze him as much as the occasional crunch of bones beneath his feet.

"I can't believe I wasted all that time on vegetables," Kent muttered, shaking his head. "Where are the treasures? The artifacts? Ancient weapons? This place is supposed to be filled with stuff like that!"

He kicked a broken spearhead lying in the dirt. It flew forward with a clang, bouncing off a rock.

"Useless," Kent grumbled, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

Suddenly, a distant scream pierced the air.

Kent froze, tilting his head like a curious bird. "What was that? A scream? Oh boy, someone's in trouble."
