Gregory

He doesn't deserve her tears. That bastard treated her like shit. All of those bastards did and am glad she decided to end their lives.

When I had met Lorrain all those years ago. I knew she was just too good for this world. I had been hiding behind a bush when I had heard her speaking to the moon. "In times like this I really wish she was here." It broke my heart to see tears streaming down her beautiful face. And I really wanted to punch whatever asshole that had done that to her. And in that moment, I knew that I would never leave her side. And over the years my feelings for her had grown immensely and I wanted nothing more than to protect this woman with my life.

"Oh Greg," she said as she sobbed against my shoulder in the car. "I just lied to those people. That monster didn't deserve to be praised like that. He deserved to die with insults. He should have no peace not even in his grave. All of them shouldn't." Her sobs came even louder. My heart broke at the very thought of those assholes being able to hurt her even after they lay in their graves.

"Hush now lorry they're gone. And this time they can never come back to harm you." I said to her as I wiped her tears away. "You've cried way too much already. Your focus must be on your coronation then your take over as the one true leader of Reshketh." She sat up straight and leaned against the car door. "You're right and we still have three of those fuckers to get rid of before I become queen."

 7. Scott Reynolds. X

 6.Daniel Carnal. X

 5.Garret Stone. X

 4.Jack Hussein. X

 3.Antonio Reeds.

 2.Russell Robertson.

 1.Logan Kane.

All of them had been killed by Lorrain. All of them punctured in the head by a single bullet. And now there were only three more that remained.

"You never did tell me why the king had wanted to meet you." I said trying for a change of subject.

"He wanted to know why the people want me as there ruler instead of him." I relaxed breathing in her sweet scent, made up of Rosemarie and something else that was just her.

"And what did you tell him?" I had asked. Happy that my destruction had worked.

"I told him I was aiming for the crown and I didn't care what I had to do to get it." She did what?

"Lorry I don't think that was your best idea." I said sounding worried.

"I know but I needed him to be prepared and not die in shock when the people renounce him as king." The thing I loved most about Lorrain was the fact that she never hid people's mistakes. If she didn't like your shit, she'd tell it to your face.

"Well at least now he'll know what his up against. The bad part is that he will try by all means to keep an eye on you." I said as I wondered in thought trying to anticipate what the king might do. When Lorrain's phone flashed alerting her that she had a message. She read through it then she turned to me. A look of horror written all over her face.

"What is it?"

"It's the king's assistant again. He says that the king has invited me to come live at the castle." She frowned up at me. While I smiled as an idea ran through my mind.

"You shouldn't worry," I said in way of explanation. "Before he catches on to anything we must kill the other two. Then it'll be much easier to kill off his brother." Her earlier expression changed to one of relief.

"You're right. This is the perfect opportunity to attack and they won't be able to suspect anything. She said as her green eyes shone with a new kind of determination.

The thing I was much more impressed with is that Lorrain had implemented everything diligently. And everything was going according to plan. The day after Scott had met his end Lorrain had decided to pay a visit to her father's office. Using blackmail to her advantage.

"Dad," she said as she sat at the edge of his desk. "It shouldn't be so hard for you to do this. The deal is simple really, you crown me as your new hair and successor. Making me the co-ruler of Reshketh and I keep the evidence proving that Tessa was the one that murdered the late Scott Reynolds under wraps." Her father only stared at her in blatant horror.

"And how will you be able to do that. Because there is literally nothing proving she did it. Besides she has no valid reason to have killed that man." She smiled a devious smile overtaking her lips. "Oh daddy. You can't be so clueless now, can you? Tessa is involved with everyman I've ever been in a relationship with. She's either done business with them at some point or she has worked with them on a number of projects. And to top it all off. A room was booked under your name near the docks. And a certain Mrs. Sullivan slept in it last night." Her dad looked on in shock like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"But Tessa never went to the docks last night." He said trying to defend his wife but Lorrain only flashed him her most wicked smile and spoke.

"No of course she didn't." lorry faked a gasp. "But she wasn't exactly home last night. Now, was she? She had been with her personal masseuse near the edge of town. But no one knows that apart from me, you and the masseuse who will no way be her alibi." Lorrain made sure that if there was any evidence left behind. It all pointed towards Tessa.

"And besides she did have a motive for murder. When she found out that Scott had turned on her and didn't want to split the inheritance, they'd stole from me. Well, she simply lost it and decided it was time to put a hole in his head or two." The woman was on a role, her father's forehead having been drenched with perspiration.

"Should I go on daddy?" she asked, but there was no answer except the glares her dad kept on giving her. "Remember that day you took Tessa for target practice. Because apparently, you didn't want her to be left defenseless if she ever got into any sort of trouble. Do you remember the exact gun you had purchased for her and how she had been using it for the entire day? The thing was covered in her finger prints by the end of the day. Yes. That specific gun was the one I used to shoot Scott with. It's the gun am gonna use to kill the rest with. So, if you don't want your precious, deceitful wife to carry out a life-time sentence in jail. Do as I say and crown me as your hair." Her father stared at her like he didn't know who the girl standing right in front of him was. He looked to me then her and spoke.

"Why are you doing this child? You were never like this, this power-hungry monster who has no regard for human life, is not you." Lorrain's beautiful mouth turned down in a frown. Her eyes burning with rage.

"You and your selfish wife turned me into this. Your blindness to how she treated me, how you had changed to become her ideal husband and stopped being my father. That was what changed me. So, for the sake of everything you hold holy sign the papers before I decide Tessa belongs behind bars."

And just like that her father signed the papers without any more arguments. And of course, Lorrain didn't grab everything for herself. She left a third of the money and properties, businesses and shares to her siblings. But they could only each inherit their wealth when they were 22 years old. That way she made sure Tessa wouldn't be able to touch any of the assets.

When he was done, she gave her father a peck on the cheek and proceeded to say. "Prepare for the coronation in 2 months' time and don't forget to inform everyone about my coronation. Greg will stay in touch and watch over the preparations call him if you need something from me." Her father frowned up at her.

"Society will never be able to accept a woman as their leader." She stood there staring at her dad as her wicked smile returned to her face. "You can tell society to kiss my ass. Because I don't care what you, Tessa or society have to say in the matter. I will become queen of Reshketh whether you approve of it or not." And that was how she laid out her foundation for her future. And everything else has been going according to plan ever since then. Well. Not until she caught the council's attention and was invited to the castle. But it doesn't matter because I will make sure to turn this major problem into an advantage for her.

"So, should I reply to his message and accept the invitation or just ignore it? "I stared at her until a thought crossed my mind.

"What do you think?" I asked. My eyebrows lifted up, like they were sure the answer was obvious.

"I won't reply then." She said as she turned off her phone. And stared outside the tinted window. The sun setting as we made our way home. "Is everything set for the next attack?" she asked in a faraway tone that told me her mind was preoccupied in thought.

"Yes," I answered immediately. "Three days from now Antonio Reeds will be laying in his grave."
