CH: 150 Brother-in-law Chris

{Chapter: 150 Brother-in-law Chris}

Not long after, a woman's cry of pain echoed through the prison building, followed by a series of strange and unsettling noises.

Hearing these sounds, several men inside the prison swallowed their saliva. It had been a long time since they had heard anything like this, and an uncomfortable silence settled over them.

---

"Damn it! They're actually doing that kind of thing in here? Are they trying to mess with us on purpose?" Otis said angrily, his expression darkening.

The Korean man smirked enviously and muttered, "I have something else to do." Without waiting for a response, he hurriedly left the room.

Luther chuckled knowingly. "He must have gone to find a quiet place to take care of himself."

"Honestly, I kinda want to do the same." Otis grinned lewdly, a crude expression crossing his face.

"You pervert," Luther scoffed, punching Otis on the shoulder.

Meanwhile, Claire's muffled screams filled the air.

Alice clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palms, drawing blood. "Damn it," she muttered through gritted teeth. An unbearable irritation surged within her, fueling a violent urge.

She wanted to kill them.

She wanted to kill that bastard and his woman.

"Damn it… What they do has nothing to do with me," she told herself, trying to suppress her rage.

But no matter how much she tried to block out the sounds, Claire's cries kept piercing through, drilling into her mind like an unbearable torment. No matter how hard she pressed her hands over her ears, she could still hear them.

---

Two hours passed.

Everyone was on the verge of madness. Ten minutes had been tolerable. Twenty minutes was frustrating. But two hours? It was excruciating.

"This is absolute bullshit!" Alice growled, pressing her hands harder against her ears. Her entire body tensed, her frustration bubbling into something nearly unbearable. The irritation, the hatred, the inexplicable discomfort—it was all too much.

Across the room, the White Queen sat on a chair, absentmindedly muttering to herself. Her pale fingers tapped rhythmically against her knee.

"Is sex really that beautiful?" she wondered aloud. "To make humans lose control like this… fascinating."

---

On the rooftop.

Claire's voice was hoarse from exhaustion. "William… I can't… I really can't do this anymore. Please, stop." Her tone was weak, pleading.

William clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction but reluctantly pulled away, his expression annoyed. "Tch. Fine." He hadn't had his fill yet, but he wasn't in the mood to argue.

Claire forced a tired smile and said with a trace of apology, "You're really amazing, you know that?"

William's expression brightened instantly. "Really? I think so too! Hahaha!" He grinned smugly, basking in the compliment.

But then, Claire's tone took on a hint of sarcasm. "But… why am I still a virgin then? Shouldn't we have known the answer to that long ago?"

William's grin faltered.

"Ah…" He sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "Our wedding day was ruined by zombies, remember? Since then, we've been constantly on the run. Where would we even find the time?"

Claire nodded, as if the explanation made perfect sense. "I see… that explains a lot."

William's gaze softened with feigned affection. "Wife, we have to be together forever."

"Always together," Claire echoed, her expression equally affectionate.

But deep within William's eyes, a sinister glint flickered. He was looking forward to the day Claire regained her memories. He wondered what her reaction would be once she realized the truth.

It was going to be fun to watch.

---

In the dimly lit basement, a thick, reinforced cage stood in the center of the room. Inside, a muscular man sat on the ground, his piercing eyes scanning the shadows.

A voice called out from beyond the bars. "Hello, brother-in-law."

The man inside the cage turned sharply toward the voice, his fierce gaze locking onto the stranger beyond the glass. "Who the hell are you?"

William stepped forward, a smirk playing on his lips. "The name's William. Nice to meet you." His voice carried a hint of amusement, laced with something dark and mocking.

The prisoner's brows furrowed. "William? You're new here, aren't you? What the hell do you want?" He stood up and walked toward the glass, his presence radiating menace.

William's smirk widened. "Oh, I just came to see my dear brother-in-law."

The man's expression darkened. "Brother-in-law? What's your relationship with Claire?"

William let out a soft chuckle. "Chris, I just called you brother-in-law. You still don't get it?" His tone was light, almost playful.

Chris, the man in the cage, narrowed his eyes. "I won't acknowledge anything until I see Claire myself. Where is she?"

William shrugged casually. "Relax. Claire is here."

Chris slammed his fists against the glass. "Then let me out! I want to see her!" His voice was fierce, his tone commanding.

William merely smiled, shaking his head. "You sure are demanding. What makes you think I'd just let you out?"

Chris sneered. "Because you need me. If you want to escape from this hellhole, I have a way. Let me out, and I'll show you." His voice lowered into a confident growl.

William clicked his tongue, shaking his head in amusement. "Brother-in-law, you're too arrogant. You think I need your help? Getting out of here is easy for me."

Chris narrowed his eyes. "Oh yeah? Then tell me, why the hell are you locked up in here?"

William's smirk didn't falter. "Because I wanted to be here."

Chris let out a dry laugh. "You're full of shit. I haven't seen anyone brag like that in a long time." His expression dripped with disdain.

William's eyes gleamed. "Bragging? You'll find out soon enough whether I am or not."

Chris scoffed. "If you're really with Claire, then prove it. Let me out, or bring her here."

Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed down the stairs.

Luther and Alice descended into the basement, their expressions unreadable.

Alice's gaze landed on William, and her eyes immediately turned as cold as sharpened steel.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Luther asked, his tone sharp.

William turned to them with an easygoing smile. "Just having a nice little chat with my dear brother-in-law."

Luther's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Brother-in-law? Since when are you related to him?"

Alice frowned slightly and turned toward Chris, her eyes scanning him critically. "What's your relationship with Claire?"

Chris's expression hardened, but his eyes flickered with excitement. "I'm her brother." His voice carried a mix of hope and frustration. "Claire's really here? Good. I can finally see her again."

Alice let out a dry laugh. "I hope she still recognizes you as her brother."

Chris's expression darkened. "What the hell do you mean by that?"

"She lost her memory," Alice said flatly. "And now she's mistaken someone else for her husband."

Chris's face twisted in fury. "What?! Lost her memory?! You bastard, are you deceiving my sister?!" His glare turned murderous as he focused on William.

William simply grinned. "Oh, brother-in-law, you wound me. Why don't we have a nice chat about it?"

Chris clenched his fists, his body tense with rage. This bastard was playing games with him.

And he did not like being played with.
