Three days had passed since the showdown against Noir in the training field, and Priscilla had been resting and studying in the cavern's library. Tomes that predated modern America were no further than what her arms could reach, it was a treasure trove and entirely free. The old paper gripped at her fingertips, old magic runes begging to be recited once more, but Priscilla was looking for a special type of spell.
Time danced, every time she checked her watch another hour had passed, and at that point, she had drunk half a dozen mugs of coffee. A small figure crept through the narrow alleys formed by books stacked on oak shelves, a soft purr reverberating through the room. Her eyes danced toward the little feline figure, its shape transforming into the charming Noir she knew.
'Can I help you with something?' She asked, more asleep than awake.
'Just checking up on you, we haven't seen you in three days. Lucia has been very busy with planning your training and Bianca...I know you two don't get along. As for me, well I am here.' He shot her a smile and placed yet another cup of coffee on the table, however, its aroma wafted through the air, filling the entire library with its intoxicating smell.
'Woah! Jeez, what was in that? Just the smell woke me up.'
'A special brew I came up with. The beans were marinated in health potions so it removes the laxative effect if you have too many and it drastically spikes the effect.' He rubbed his nose with pride before dragging a chair by her side.
'So, whatchu looking for?'
She pulled out a piece of paper with a crude drawing. It was a set of twenty-two cards similar to her tarot deck. He thought about it for a moment, what the cards could have in common with ancient spells.
'Ah, I see! You want to find a spell that utilises the tarot deck you found!' He placed his fist in the cup of his hand and giggled to himself. A book about playing cards found its way into his hands, page after page flicking endlessly but still coming up with nothing. Two more books landed on his lap, and Priscilla was using his presence to her advantage. Not that he minded, reading books was much better than being pestered by Bianca.
Priscilla's eyes were locked onto the material, it was pulling her entire attention despite the spell she was searching for being nowhere in sight. Her imagination played drinks on her, the twenty-two dots dancing across the page just on her peripherals. 'It's time to take a shower.'
'Yeah lol, you stink like hell.' Noir was met with a blank-eyed stare and a wand pointed at his chest.
'J-just kidding...'
The cool air of the cavern filled her lungs as she pushed her chest forward, a mighty exhale blowing away nearby dust that had built up on a wall. Despite being there for half a week already, she had no idea where she would be staying, most of the houses seemed empty but once you step inside a witch, assistant or familiar would be there to greet you. Noir crept from behind, understanding her confusion. 'You are staying with Lucia, you know where her house is right?'
Priscilla sighed, the energy instantly draining out of her body. 'I know..' The walk took no more than three minutes, but deep down she wished it had taken hours. Two voices mumbled from inside, both easily recognisable. 'I'm home!'
'Hello there!!' Lucia walked in close wanting to give Priscilla a hug, but instantly dodged by a sidestep. Her gaze turned toward the drowsy girl who was beelining for the shower, a light bulb appearing over her head with an ingenious idea.
The two creaky faucets turned on, releasing a stable stream of hot and cold water. Lucia took the deck of cards from the hamper outside of the bathroom and brought them into the makeshift witch's hut in the garage. Inside, she took a card out of the major arcana at random. "Justice" Carefully, she dunked the card into the cauldron filled with a thick purple potion, slightly stronger than what Priscilla had consumed that night.
Just before Priscilla stepped out of the shower, Lucia managed to place the deck back waiting patiently for her sweet pupil to emerge. Her hair still soaked, Priscilla was met with a large undodgeable hug from Auntie Lucia. 'Quick quick. Let's go to the training field and try out a new spell. Bianca, you come as well.' A small thumbs up rose weakly from the girl's body.

Priscilla stared around the empty field confused about what was meant to happen. Lucia slapped her back pushing her forward onto the field. Her thin fingers pulled out a card from Priscilla's Tarot deck and turned it over to face Priscilla. 'I invoke the Authority of Judgement, Bringer of Light and Vanquisher of Dark.'
A large scale appeared in the sky above Priscilla, shaking spread from her legs to the rest of her body as she attempted to flee from it. 'No point in running, this spell will follow you until the trial is done~'
'HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO DO THAT?' A mix of curiosity and fear fueled her tired body, her fatigue slowing down her movements but her mind was still as sharp as ever.
'I pick the trial to be held against Lucia, the grand witch and leader of the Lucifero coven!' The scales tipped to the right, a courtroom rose from the ground, wooden seats, walls with old musty wallpaper and a jury of skeletons that clattered loudly with each shake of the room.
On opposite sides of the room were two desks hosting two lawyers.
A lady with her eyes covered by fire, holding a massive sword stood in the centre of the room. Her aura boasted massive amounts of magical power, even Lucia couldn't help but be amazed at the sheer amount of power this spell boasted. She pondered at what would happen if she dipped Priscilla into the cauldron next but dismissed it once the spell started speaking.
'Let the trial begin. The prosecution will go first.' Lucia walked into the centre of the courtroom, for the first time she was quite nervous, not knowing the outcome a spell was terrifying even to a grand witch. A simple slip-up has led many witches to their end.
'I would like to open up by stating that the person sitting across from me is guilty of killing.' Lady Justice turned her head toward Priscilla who was sweating bullets thinking about what to say. If it were truly lady justice then it would be in her best interest to tell the truth.
'I plead guilty to that offence. However, I wish to seek a harsher punishment on the one who who has done more killing.' Lucia instantly shot a pained look, her past has come to screw her over.
'How do you plead?' Justice stared down at Lucia.
'I plead guilty...'
Seconds passed before the flaming sword pierced through Lucia's Stomach. Blood trickling from her mouth onto the fiery sword.
