Max wasn't sure what to expect from her, but not being able to catch a break in her defenses was wearing him out. She kept up a good defense her arms like steel bars holding fast to every blow he landed then countering with a 2 punch combo or a 3 contact combo that would send him flying across the room. His brother Phil had a similar fighting style and it seemed he modified it to fit her frame.
Max was breaking a sweat as she kept coming at him not letting him breath. She rushed his left side with a round house kick then back flipped to gain distance pushing forward with a 4 punch combo then a slap to the face as her tail trips up his footing making him hit the ground hard. "Aaahh! B*tch did you just slap me?!" Max asked a cheeky smile on her face as she moved back into position laughter dancing in her eyes. "Come on baby boy. That just tickled your pride," she mocked beckoning him forward with one of her tails.
The wolfish smile he was showing ignited a fire in her that almost made her lost focus as he got back into position. "Last three blows wins it," Wade said seeing that we could do this all night. She was sweating from all the fun we were having exchanging blows. She only had a few scuff marks and her left arm was sagging, but she looked so beautiful and fierce that all he wanted to do was take her body and worship it.
Waiting for her to make the first move she did disappoint when she went to the right favoring that side then moved up close sliding her body next to his distracting his senses as she got up close invading his space leaping up wrapping her legs around his waist as she twists their bodies around as she grabbed both his arms pulling them behind his back straddling his thighs pinning him to the ground wrapping her tail around his neck.
"I win." Lily said as Max drops his head in defeat Wade clapping on the sidelines, "Holy sh*t! Now that's what I call a win. Lily that was awesome! I haven't seen a lot of people keep up with him. Phil does from time to time and some times myself, but that was wow!"
Max got up rotating his shoulders looking Lily over with a new found respect. "I'm glad to know you can handle yourself. He's right not many can defeat me let alone pin me. That was a dirty trick you played at the end though," Max said as Lily tried looking innocent about it. "I've learned to use ever opportunity and option when necessary. Besides to be honest I'm....I'm not done with my research. I've had to wait ten years to finish because I missed my chance ten years ago to see it bloom."
Max watched her face as a dark shadow fell over her as she spoke about her book. Whatever happened it affected her more then she let on. Wade looked concerned to but kept it to himself. "When do you plan to go see it bloom?" he asked trying to stay neutral. She thought about it for a moment pulling out her phone saying, "It looks like I have a little over a month before I need to head to Dragon Clan territory. That's where the flower is and it only blooms during the full moon. I'll probably head out after the Alpha ceremony."
Max instantly didn't like her going somewhere by herself, but she was used to doing things alone. She only worked for father because she cared about the city, and some of the people in it otherwise she would never come back or even live here. "Can you give me a time frame so I can go with you?" he asked hoping she wouldn't be annoyed.
"Won't you be to busy to come with me? I'm going to be gone probably two weeks," she said logically. "When I announce you as my Luna Queen everyone will think we are going on our honeymoon so it shouldn't be a problem. Do you want me to come with you or would this be better for you to go by yourself?" Max said hoping she wouldn't freak out.
The bug-eyed look she gave him made him crack a smile and cover a laugh as she shook her head taking a few deep breaths. "You really going to tell everyone I'm your Luna Queen? Your mother and sister are going to kill me, well try to anyways. Look I don't want to kill your family, but that doesn't mean I won't," she said unsure if this was a good idea. "Hey, at this point they can't say anything, especially with that family tree you have. Its the same paper we use in the archives department to record families. I can have it verified before we say anything so no one can dispute it. We can also test your blood and show the results. No one will be able to dispute it then," Max said as he pulled her into his arms.
"Are you sure? I can be annoying when I'm working. I also planned to meet up with a friend as well," Lily said dropping a bam on him. "Who would that be?" he asked trying not to sound rough. She sighed saying, "The first Dragon Prince Dimitri."
