Nathan was about to continue mocking the cold-hearted individual. However, upon hearing the dejected tone, he swiftly transferred $50,000 to him.

For wealthy youngsters like them, $50,000 was merely the cost of a single meal.

Upon receiving the funds, Francis promptly paid. No wrapping was necessary; the ring was left bare.

Observing Francis's retreating figure, so gloomy it could be lethal, a sense of retribution bubbled up inside me, bringing great satisfaction.

The system chimed in at that moment. "After seven years of Francis's torment, you've finally made him face a setback. I proclaim you, the host, as my catharsis deity."

I smirked. "Naturally. I, Selma Miranda, am not one to endure mistreatment. If not for the reward, I'd have torn him to shreds."

As I gestured, Isaac's video call suddenly came through. The man on the screen possessed naturally striking features.

His attractive eyebrows bore a slight resemblance to Francis's, yet appeared somewhat more severe.

"Darling, where are you? I've finished here and I'm coming to take you to the bridal boutique now."

A man typically stern and aloof with his employees behaved tenderly towards his wife. His eyes transformed from icy to warm and gentle.

The departing meeting attendees were taken aback and quickly retreated upon realizing the situation.

I gazed at Isaac in the video, who was furrowing his brow and requesting a kiss, feeling somewhat overwhelmed.

Since establishing our relationship, Isaac had become incredibly clingy daily.

Even then, he had shifted from a popular figure to an affectionate puppy. Upon seeing me, his metaphorical tail wagged enthusiastically.

Noticing his eager gaze, I slightly moved my fingers and shared my location with him.

Unexpectedly, as soon as I entered the luxurious vehicle, I was met with a fervent kiss.

Before I could react, my coat had vanished. "Isaac, were you born in the year of the dog?"

I tugged at my collar, attempting to conceal the most visible love mark.

However, he slightly curved his lips, revealing a mischievous grin. "Honey, we were apart for three hours and twenty-six minutes. Don't you miss me at all?"

Then, he took my hand and placed it on his abdominal muscles.

The intense body heat startled me, causing me to quickly withdraw my hand.

"Stop it, we're in the car," I said, trying to compose myself, despite my flushed cheeks and quickened breathing.

Finally arriving at our destination, we hastily exited the vehicle.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated. It was a message from Francis.

[Francis: Let's meet.]

Isaac noticed me standing by the door, frowning at my phone.

He turned and inquired, "What's wrong? Who messaged you?"

"It's spam, ignore it," I replied briefly before deleting the text, turning off my phone, and following Isaac into the bridal shop.

Inside, employees retrieved dresses from storage.

It was a wedding gown designed by a Parisian expert, specially commissioned by Isaac to suit my personality.

A black veil elegantly draped my figure, and the strapless bodice tastefully revealed my pale collarbone.

Simple yet refined, it resembled a celestial being.

While admiring the handcrafted wedding dress, I took a mirror selfie.

Afterwards, I posted it on Instagram with the caption, [Ebony veil, the most exquisite wedding, longing to be with you forever.]

I also included a surreptitiously taken photo of Isaac's back while he slept.

As soon as the post went live, numerous people liked it and sent their congratulations.

However, Francis's group of friends reacted differently, leaving a stream of insulting comments.
