I caught a glimpse of doubt flitting across Matias's features, barely noticeable to most.

Matias managed a weak smile, speaking in a hushed, composed tone.

"Let's postpone the family issues for now. We're currently broadcasting live, so please don't interfere with Dr. Hewitt and the director."

"Mom, Dad, please give her the banner quickly. Remember to properly express your appreciation to Dr. Hewitt."

Following his prompt, Alastor and Milana swiftly presented the banner, lavishing Odette with thanks.

As the atmosphere in the room appeared to relax, I couldn't suppress a scornful chuckle.

Then, with calculated slowness, I started to applaud.

"Magnificent. What a spectacle," I remarked, my words laced with irony.

Matias's demeanor shifted instantly. His eyes flickered with contained anger, but he managed to speak with forced composure.

"Verena, what's gotten into you?"

"Didn't I ask you not to disrupt? We're live at the moment!"
