Dexter and I jointly own these possessions as part of our marital assets, and I'm entitled to take them back.
As anticipated, when I came home one day, Dexter insisted on being my chauffeur once more.
I was about to enter the elevator when Scarlett appeared.
Baron had informed me earlier that Scarlett had been dismissed. I assumed she was here for Dexter, but surprisingly, she intercepted me and said, "Rania, it's clear Dexter no longer cares for you. Why do you persist in clinging to him?" Scarlett's eyes were filled with animosity, as if I had taken her spouse instead of my own.
I retorted sarcastically, "Are you confused? Weren't you present when I presented the divorce papers to him and requested his signature? You should be aware that I wasn't the one refusing to end the marriage."
Scarlett sneered, "Who's to say you're not employing some strategy, feigning indifference to lure him back?" Her audacity left me astounded.
