Troy's hands, gripping the message, shook violently. "Felicia! This isn't amusing! Show yourself now. Such pranks are not funny at all!"
"I know I didn't keep my word today, and I apologize. I'll make amends, just please don't deceive me..." His voice grew fainter with each word.

As if struck by a sudden thought, Troy dashed to the bedroom, yanking open the closet to inspect Felicia's possessions. Only a handful of clothes were gone.
The wedding band he had purchased for her and the ring he had given her recently sat neatly on the nightstand.
