Troy glared at the screen, his expression dark and foreboding as he watched the flood of entertainment news reports. He turned to Louise, his fists clenched in anger. "Did you orchestrate this media frenzy?"
Unaware of the gravity of her actions, Louise beamed with pride. "What if I did? Troy, didn't you profess your love for me? Didn't you say Felicia meant nothing to you anymore?"
"If it weren't for her pregnancy, you would have ended your marriage long ago. Now that she's lost the baby and I'm carrying your child instead..."
"You even proposed to me at the hospital. Why keep it a secret? Why shouldn't I let the press cover it?" Her self-satisfaction was cut short as Troy's hand struck her cheek.
"You fool!" Troy exploded, "Felicia would never have done something so reckless!"
Louise, consumed by her own elation, had failed to consider Troy's position. She was oblivious to how this news would tarnish his reputation and invite public scrutiny.
